Will This PTR Be A Jinx? A 2nd bday "do-over" trip. Dec '12 *Update 12/7*

I agree :)

Aww I'm glad y'all enjoyed your trip and Scotty is now looking at the Disney web site unprompted. :thumbsup2 I think I'd pass out if Chris told me he was planning a Disney trip on his own haha

Thank you! Yeah we love the outlets. I can't wait to check them out again. I need to hit up the converse outlet again too.

That's a good idea. He hasn't had a bagel yet. I'll have to try that before the trip and see how he likes it. Thanks for the suggestions

Yeah packing another thing would kinda be a pain. Muffins are a really good idea though. I think he'd like that. There's a recipe on Pinterest for toddler muffins. I'll have to try that out and see if he likes it.

I'm not sure. I'll have to look. Is that something you have to keep frozen?

Thank you :) Aww Don't beat yourself up. It gets more hectic when you have more than one kid I'm sure. The only reason I have middle of the year pictures is because my Mom keeps insisting we get them done haha! I'm looking forward to next year when I can get away with just doing once a year pictures since he won't be growing as fast any more. :thumbsup2

I am not sure if they have to stay frozen or cold would work. The breakfast sandwiches don't, they are fine to be refrigerated.

I think you made a GREAT decision adding more days! :thumbsup2 Hopefully it will keep the pace of the trip more relaxed so y'all can have a better time.

Joining in! I followed your last PTR and TR, and was so upset when you all got sick and had to leave early. Don't worry, though - your December trip will be perfect. :goodvibes

Alex's 18-month pictures are too cute. His eyes are gorgeous!

Your plans so far look great ... as do your purchases. You really can't go wrong with anything "Toy Story." :thumbsup2

Sooo, breakfast ideas. DH makes "honey toast" for DS. He toasts a slice of bread, sprays some butter on it, then spreads honey on it. It's delicious! And kind of like a waffle with syrup, lol. DS also likes peanut butter, so some mornings we give him a little PB sandwich with "Mater yogurt" (one of the brands has kids' yogurt with the "Cars" characters).

Aww...Great pictures.

Love the Blankey cape one

Getting closer :woohoo:

Thanks girl :) yes, 110 days now but who's counting? :rolleyes1

Ok thanks Chele!

Hey there glad to have ya for this report too! I really hope you are right!

Thank you :goodvibes

You're right there!

omg that sounds divine!!! I'll have to look for that yogurt too. Thanks!

Well...y'all may think I'm NUTS but I changed our resort for a THIRD and hopefully final time. The room only discounts came out today w/o any warning at all. So my wonderful Disney TA Heather (aka dasani girl) hooked me up. ASMo was excluded in the discount so she got us switched over to Pop (somehow I knew we'd wind up back there again) with the discount and we're saving about $140. I'm happy with that! :thumbsup2 Hopefully this will be the last change I make before we go on our trip as far as resort goes. Now maybe I can start talking about our day to day plans while we're there..... :rolleyes1

WOO HOO

Glad you were able to get room only discount that came out today

Very excited for you

Can't wait to hear some more plans

:dance3:

Thank you Kelly. And thanks for Txting me earlier today to make sure I knew about the release of the discount since you know I've been impatiently awaiting it :thumbsup2

Hey first and foremost let me say your son is so precious, my son is around and same age and they are busy busy busy.
Your lovely photo shot reminds me I need to get some for my boys. I actually wanted to comment on going back and being a little nervouse. I went to Florida in 2010 and my nephew got really sick( we went to universal) he was okay at the beginning of the trip but was so sick by the end of the week, he actually was admitted to the hospital with the swine flu!!! Of all things. Well thank goodness he got better but it was horrible. This year we went back in may and I was so worried about my son getting sick....it enough to drive you crazy. But all went well thank god. I am sure everything will go perfect for your family, I look forward to more updates, love your shopping finds;)

Welcome and thanks for joining in! Thanks for the compliment on Alex! Yes they are super busy at this age. Alex is non-stop unless he's sleeping or eating.

Oh wow so sorry to hear that your poor nephew got so sick on y'alls trip. I'm so glad that when you went with your DS he didn't get sick even though you were worried about it. I'm going to be on high germ alert on this trip I think. Did you do anything special to keep him from getting sick?

Thank you!

OOOOooooooo I'm in the Christmas spirit y'all!!!! :santa::santa::santa: I have one more thing to get for Alex for Christmas and then I'm done with him. I want to make my Mom something special for Christmas (I've been getting ideas off Pinterest) and we want to get my bro/sis/nieces and nephews something on our trip so that won't be done till the week before Christmas but at least it will be relatively easy :thumbsup2

I keep seeing things as far as clothes I want to get Alex for our trip. I've gotten him too many shirts and such for our trip I think haha! Some I haven't shown y'all and some I have. There's some new Disney shirts and hoodies I am thinking about getting but trying to refrain and Stride Rite just came out with some Mickey Mouse shoes I'm dying to get but trying to refrain since they are insanely expensive. Ugh!

Anyways, in celebration of the DOUBLE DIGIT DANCE tomorrow (woo!!!:banana:) I wanted to start talking about my day to day plans.

So, we plan on leaving out WAY early on the 15th. My DH works nights so to help him transition easier I think what we're going to do is hit the road around midnight so when we get down there we'll have a whole day to just relax and go around and view decorations at the resorts and DTD. Leaving at midnight will probably put us down there around 7 or 8am. I'm not sure what we'll do till things open up and people wake up haha.

Here's a picture of Alex ready to go in February

And here's some pictures from touring the resorts from our Dec '09 trip (pre-Alex). It's so fun for me to look at these pictures because little did I know that the same time just one year later I'd be having my little miracle baby

So hopefully we can hit up most of the resorts and DTD that day and we'll check into our room and all that good jazz. We'll probably check in as soon as we get there and then they can txt us when our room is ready so we can go check out AoA first and walk around Pop.

After all the shopping goodness and Christmas decoration looking I plan on surprising DH and Alex with a private sleigh ride around FtW to see all the campers Christmas decorations so it should be a really great day filled with lots of wonderful decorations to get us into the spirit for the trip. I can't wait!!!!!

The only thing I'm not sure of for this day is what we'll do for meals. Any resort ADR recommendations? Maybe we'll hit up the food court at one of the resorts and then B&C for dinner. Hmmmmmm Decisions Decisions. Maybe we can eat at WCC before the sleigh ride. Any reviews?

The days will really fly by now that we're in the double digits! :cool1:

Aww. Alex looked so little.. :goodvibes

I love all the tree photos. They are all so pretty :santa:

I think you should have lunch at AOA food court. It is supposed to be awesome~~

Then you could have dinner at Beaches and Cream.

I am not a fan of WCC, but you might be, I Forget:rotfl:

I also like the Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness. It is cheapest buffet around.

Sleigh ride sounds like a lot of fun :thumbsup2

Doesn't he?? *sigh*

That's a great idea! Might have to do that after walking around the resorts. :thumbsup2

Wait, isn't that the one where you have to yell for ketchup? Hmmmm I've been there once and hated it! Never been to Trails End. I'll have to look at the menu. That may be our best option for dinner before the sleigh ride.

Thanks! :goodvibes

Wow, you guys are hard core! I'd never be able to drive through the night, I'm a total wuss, haha! :)

I think the idea of a sleigh ride sounds like lots of fun! I've never eaten at Trails end, but I've heard good things about it!

thanks for posting all the tree pictures... I LOVE them. I'm so excited to see Disney done up for Christmas for the first time. I wish I could drive at night, but I just can't. I don't have really bad eye sight but my eyes play tricks on me at night. We thought about leaving around midnight, but decided against it and are just going to add an extra day to our trip instead. ((which I think you knew that already. ;) ))

haha when we went in July 2010 when I was 16 weeks pregnant I was so exhausted and ready to go home that we drove through the night after spending a whole day at the parks just to get home sooner. I had never been more ready to be home from a Disney trip before that until this last trip. So really our last two trips have been pretty craptacular. Anyways, that was totally off point, we always leave really early in the morning to get down there by lunch time at the latest but this time I think it will help DH be really ready for bed by the next night so he'll sleep relatively well I think instead of being up half the night like he usually is here at home.

I've never eaten there either but it looks delicious. :thumbsup2 I'm actually excited about how many buffets we're hitting this go round because Alex is free at all of them hehe. I'm living it up while I can!

No problem! Disney is so great at Christmas time. There are just no words that can describe it. It's just pure magic! Adding a day (yes I knew :thumbsup2 ) is never a bad idea. I'd rather do that than drive through the night but I already extended us by 2 days so I can't justify another day haha.

I love those Disney Christmas trees! I am reading too many Christmas PTRs, I feel the need to plan a Christmas trip now!

Aren't they gorgeous!?!? You totally should plan a Christmas trip. Preferably one that overlaps my dates so we can have us a DIS meet :D

I've just decided that I will be Tweeting LIVE from WDW while on our trip for your enjoyment! What could be better?? If any of you would like to follow me for that my Twitter name is @CarlaJL :hyper:

I'll be posting some updates this evening after Alex goes to beddy bye :thumbsup2
