ok a quick opinion poll.. Who thinks the parks will close on Monday for Wilma?? According to the news, Orange County will be experincing 50 MPH winds and torential rain,,so I think it is a safe bet the parks will close. What do you think...It certainly would not be safe for people to be out and about in the parks in thsi type of weather environment.

I agree....if we get 50 mph sustained winds here the parks will close. The storm is supposed to move through really quickly, and so if it hits early on Monday the parks may open up later in the day.

unless the path takes it closer than what they are saying, I don't think they will.

Their website right now is saying they do not have plans to close.

I am sure they are taking a " wait and see" attitute. They will prolly decide early Monday. Hopefully there wont be alot of damage when Wilma hits the Central Fl area. I am in daytona and we are expecting tropical force strenghth wind with lots of rain..no school for me Monday yippee.. (I hope anyway )

It's a pop-up on the home page of their website. If you have a blocker, you may not be able to see it.

I would think that they wouldn't post anything about closing the park until late Sunday (when they know for sure what will happen on Monday). This storm has been a weird one and all the weather forecasters are just having a field day with it. Earlier on Fox News they were showing about six different paths Wilma might take. Now of course, there's the speculation that Wilma might even merge with T.S. Alpha and create some very strange weather on the east coast. Enough already !!!

I am at Port Orleans Riverside right now, and I have not heard anything about whether Disney will close or not. No messages on the phone and no notices delivered to the room. Nothing. No one even seemed to be talking about Wilma at the parks today! Was rainy today with on and off showers, but that's about it!

Well, the pop up on the Official Disney World site now says that they WILL CLOSE on Monday.

It's been on the local news around here for a good three horus now that they would close.
