Hi all,
I made reservations a few months ago for my upcoming trip to disney world. I'll be going from august 22-29. When i made the reservations, I booked them for parties of 4. (myself, my best friend, my mother, and my best friends mother) now however, there is now one more person added to my group. I was able to change 4 out of the 6 reservations. the only two i was unable to change are
breakfast at crystal palace on the 28th at 10:10 AM
and
breakfast at tusker house on the 27th at 10:05 AM

if we just show up with a party of 5 even though we reserved a party of 4 do you think we may have a chance at being seated?

It's tough because if the restaurant is at capacity they can't let an extra person in. Plus having 5 means a bigger table than 4 and there are probably only a certain number of tables to accomodate a large party. Going from a 3 to a 4 would still probably be a 4 top table. I wouldn't expect to be seated and if they can, fine. I would also keep trying to change it.

There is a possibility that they will not be able to sit five of you. Five people use a different table size than four people. Going from 3 to 4 or 5 to 6 usually doesn't matter as much because the table size doesn't change. Going from 4 to 5 changes the table size. You can try and hope for the best but should not be surprised if they tell you that they can only sit four people.

Really depends on when and where you are going. I forgot to put my baby on my Le Cellier reservation and they took us in July but were kind of annoyed. So if it is popular place or during fd you may have a problem. Go early and be expected to wait.

This happened to me last year. I was able to change all my reservations except 2. LeCellier and Akershus. What I did was go to the podium as soon as I got into the park, or as soon as it opened. I explained my situation, and they were able to accommodate me at both places. I would try this and hope for the best.
