Will there be a free DDP offer this fall?

I certainly hope they offer it. I already have a vacation booked with FD but I want to change resorts, and I can't switch unless someone with FD at pop cancels or free dining opens.. so here's to hoping for fd in october!

We are going in OCtober with or without...but just wondering, in the past, has any dates in October been blacked out of FD?

I was at Disney for Hurricane Francis in 2004. *stuck*(lol) in the Contemporary Tower for 2 days (well 2.5) while the parks were closed and the storm rolled through. I don't know if they closed for Charley or not and Jeane came through at night. anyways - Disney had food available for guests, but it was NOT free. We still had to pay for those boxed lunches and buffets. It's kinda eerie eating meals at Chef Mickey's without characters and paying near full price. The food was the same, just no characters. The discount was only around $5-7 if memory serves.

We were comped tickets since were were on a LOS package, but the food definately wasn't free.

We were at WDW when Hurricane Jeanne hit in 2004. We were actually due to fly home that Saturday that Jeanne started but the airport closed down early and luckily Pop Century was able to let us stay in our room (took a few hours to figure out if we could stay or would need to find another resort). Parks were closing early and then were also closed for the next 2 days. We had a few hours that first night to stock up on some food and then were stuck in our room for the next 24 hours.

Sunday night, we were finally allowed outside to again stock up on food and visit with characters in the lobby. So no free food for us although we also each got a free Ultimate Park Hopper ticket. I still have them sitting in a drawer here. We finally got to the airport on Monday morning and had to fight to get onto a flight home.
