Alright. I just got out of the shower (NoPyscho), and thought, hey...why don't I peruse my options for MNSSHP costumes?

So I took out the casual pirate costume. White tank, black gauchos, maroon waist sash, Aztec coin necklace. Got all gussied up and went to take the infamous TK mirror shot, headless, of course. NoHorseman. So, yeah. They didn't even make it to the computer to be uploaded.

I just...wasn't...feeling it.

So then, I tried on the gold dress.

Ah, gold dress. How do I love thee? Let me count the...you know what, I think we may have overplayed that one.

Zipped it up as far as I could by myself and popped in front of the mirror. Yup. That'll about do it. Now, we seriously need some extra to the weather gods, because if there's one thing that dress is, it would be not fun in the rain.

And I know this will all shock you beyond belief. But I have to wear shoes with the dress. I don't just mean any shoes, ladies. I mean nicely heeled shoes, because other wise, it'll be dragging the ground. Oh yes. I've done the Magic Kingdom for MNSSHP in my wedding shoes. Wedding shoes you ask? Yes, I had two pair of shoes, identical for my wedding day. They were such a good price, mom got two just in case. So the second pair sat in the box for many moons, and were broken in last year at MNSSHP. In one night. Honestly, I didn't even feel it. Until the hotel room, later that night. My poor tootsies. Ah well.

What we do for love of a pirate, eh?

So here it is, in case you don't remember...

I mean, if there's a year to where the dress, it's this year. We're at the Wilderness Lodge. We're close to MK. We can boat to it, no long bus ride, no worries, matey.

I dream of the photopass pics DH and I can take. I didn't throw DS in there because I just don't know how long the little nugget will last at the party, but I'm sure we'll get some great shots when he's awake!

And recently, DS has taken to watching POTC.

No idea why.

But he actually requests to watch it. And gets very excited over certain parts. Like when Jack Sparrow gets clobbered on the back of the head in the blacksmith shoppe. "Mama, what happen Jack Sparrow?" Very, very concerned. Then later, "Mama, what happen Will Turner?" Then later, "Mama, that's Elizabeth." Hoo boy.

And after having watched it, we found some old treasure (goodie bag stuff from a birthday party) and DS dressed like a pirate. We have some things already, so he had necklaces, rings, waist sash, belt, an eye patch, the whole shebang. So darn cute! Of course I took pictures. It got me really excited for MNSSHP because I know he'll be so into dressing up this year.

Which brought me to my costume.

Which brings me to the gold dress. And dressy shoes. In the Magic Kingdom.

Oh MNSSHP, how you vex me.

And I'm not really that girlie. Well, I"m sort of girlie in that I wear makeup pretty much daily (five minute face), even in Disney, and that I want to look my best.

But for the most part, I'm very, very casual. Which is why I think I can get away with the heels in MK. Maybe I need to post a picture of those to calm all your fears? They're not that bad.

Five days!!!

So exciting!!!

Well, see, Tink and I figured they were more like actual guidelines.

If you read both our PTRs (And if you don't read both our PTRs, what are you doing???? ), then you'll know that Tink mentioned a change in the wind. And a bit of leverage. And maybe some sea turtles.

Well maybe not all of that, but definitely a change in the wind. NoColors/Pocahontas. The wonderful wind of dining ADRs. See, Tink had a . And we got to talking. (And if that doesn't frighten anyone, I don't know what will...)

And being like-minded, and singularly purposed...for the most part...we had a goal in mind.

Besides kidnapping Jack Sparrow. I mean, we are diverse people, folks.

And that was an ADR...together.

Yes, you heard me right.

An ADR for five people. A little over a week out. During free dining.

I know, I know. And not only that, it had to be in the Magic Kingdom, or the monorail resorts. Dang, we're picky. But I had a dream of seeing Spectro, and my dear Tink didn't want me to miss it.

So we plotted. And planned. And called Disney Dining, oh SO many times. To no avail. No soup for us. No five person table was to be had anywhere, and I mean anywhere.

Until today.

When TK was feeling a little happy.

A little saucy.

A little glad that the boy liked so much.

So I decided to stop referring to myself in the third person, pick up the phone and call Disney Dining. One. More. Time.

And then, after feeling all hope was lost...

No Crystal Palace, No Ohana, No California Grill, No Liberty Tree, No Kona, No Narcoosees...

the list went on and on...

and then I said the fated words...

"Citrico's?"

And, low and behold! What to my wondering eyes/ears did appear? A 540 ressie for Citricos on Saturday, September 20th?

How excited was I? How could I not wait to tell Tink? I snagged that ressie, got in touch with my favorite long lost sister, and patiently waited for her to run it by the only dining companion that hadn't agreed...Missy...

I was on pins and needles folks...the possibility of sharing a signature dining experience at one of my favorite restaurants in my favorite resort? Were the cosmic fates working in my favor or what? And then, Missy said yes!

So we are now the proud owners of a Citricos reservation!

Seriously, I am beyond excited!

BEYOND!!!! My trip is five days away and I scored this reservation! With TINK!!!!!

Phew...I think I need to calm down...
