Will TarzansKat meet Captain Jack? ~A Pirate's Life for 3 Pre-Trippie~ We're back!

You know what this means, don't you?

Either you're slowly and more convoluted-ly following in your long lost sister's footsteps or my Jedi Mind Trick is working and soon the TK's will be joining Tink at the Poly.

JK. Congrats on the move. And welcome to the Deluxe Snob Club. Where we only have love for the Deluxe (and POP, because really, who doesn't love them some POP (sans cheerleaders/Pop Warner football))

The force is strong with us. :lmao: Seriously, I am so excited! I was so happy during my workout this morning. All I could think about was the Wilderness Lodge and how easy it will be to get back forth to MK and the MK resorts. I can't wait to write my new itinerary chapter.

FANTASTIC use of feminine wiles and persuasion. You are the pride of devious women such as myself.

I knew with the appropriate amount of persuasion I could succeed. :rotfl2:

I have this feeling, call them midichlorians if you will, that tells me that perhaps DH doesn't even realize this yet. Likely more "persuasion" may be necessary.

Lord, help me! :lmao:

Yay for Wilderness Lodge!! :woohoo:  :woohoo:  :woohoo::banana:

I think I am going to DF, "Well, TK upgraded to WL so we should too!!" :rotfl:

And to you I quote Tink:

"If TK jumped off a bridge would you do it to?" :lmao:

"Well, sure if on the other side of that bridge was the connecting walkway to the Magic Kingdom boat dock!!!! :thumbsup2

Exactly! I am going to see what I can pull out of my bag of tricks. :thumbsup2

On a side note, we have been contemplating getting out of our apartment lease and found out that we would have to pay 45 days worth of rent in order to leave the lease early. DF was excited because he really wants to move and I looked at him and said, "Are you nuts? That is a trip to Disney!" :snooty:

If you need hints, PM me. ;) ;) :lmao:

This is one of the only ways in which rental living can be a pain. I, however, love my apartment, so there's a fat chance of us moving. Never mind that I can't afford a house in this area anyway, and we love our school district. Looks like the TK family is going to be here for a while. :goodvibes

DF was excited because he really wants to move and I looked at him and said, "Are you nuts? That is a trip to Disney!" :snooty:

Isn't it funny how we can measure things by Disney?

For example, I looked at what I'm spending and thought. Wow...that's almost two trips to Disney at a value.

And then I thought...ah well.

I'm worth it. :lmao:

But seriously, I know next year will be another big family vacation with my mom, nana, fil, etc. I don't know where we'll be staying then, and we may go value just so everyone can easily afford it. If that's the case, then it's totally worth it to just splurge and enjoy deluxe this year. That's not to say, however, that I won't become so spoiled by this experience that I'll book it again for next year. :rotfl2:

We just weren't prepared to move this year when it was time to renew our lease. DF wants a bigger place, he would actually love to buy a house but I keep asking him with what money! I am not ready to be a home owner. I would just like a little bigger place closer to work but I can wait until next April...especially if that means I can go to Disney next year.

You are worth it! And so am I! :lmao:

I am not ready to be a home owner.

I know this may sound funny since I have a three year old, but I'm not either. I don't see home-owning as the end-all, be-all investment that it used to be. And while it would be nice to have a permanent residence that eventually I would own, right now, I am perfectly contented where we are. Being in this apartment is really a blessing. Our heat is included in our rental cost, so that's awesome. Something breaks, I call maintenance. Never mind coming up with the money for a house, how about maintaining it? Truthfully, it scares me. So right now, we're apartment dwellers, and lovin' it.

You are worth it! And so am I! :lmao:

Honey, you are worth it ten times over.

That is EXACTLY how I feel. I love that I can call maintenance, our heat is also included, it's nice knowing I don't have to worry about that. I find the whole housing market very scary. DF on the other hand has grown up with Home Ownership being the step before family and kids and we are just not financially ready yet and who knows when we will be. It's hard enough for me to get him to empty the dishwasher, I can't imagine him helping to maintain a home. I am okay with renting for the time being. Woo Hoo Apartments!

Aww thanks!

I'm right there with you. I'm lucky in that DH is very handy, so I know that he'd be able to fix normal house type problems. But it's having to buy a new roof or washer/dryer or any appliance that scare me. We're just not in the financial position to do so. And right now, living here means I still get to take a nice vacation once a year, and I'm all for it. Especially since it's always to Disney! :lmao:

Aww thanks!

I am already planning next years vacation to Disney! At WL or Poly...of course! :rotfl2:

I highly recommend either of those resorts!

Shh...don't tell DH...but if they have a bounceback offer for free dining when we arrive...I'm booking it! :lmao:

The TK family is run amock! I am beside myself with giddiness. DH is trying to hide how excited he is, but very unsuccessfully, and DS...well, DS is having one of his three year old days. You know those. And if you don't, let me tell you.

I think he's overtired from yesterday. We had a really great playdate, but it was 2-3 hours of playing outside, and I don't think he got quite enough sleep last night. His nap was a bit shorter than usual as well. Fast forward to today, and I have some errands to run. Now it's obvious he's still tired, but I'm hoping he'll fall asleep on the way home in the car, and I can get him to bed without him waking up. Right? WRONG! :scared1:

DS woke up as soon as I put him down in bed. Twice he's been out now to tell him he "no nigh-nights." Oh boy. So I've read him his favorite book, and rocked him, and now, I can hear him in there, playing with his toys, not taking a nap. He is going to be sooooooo cranky tonight! We are supposed to have a play date at the park at 330, and I was really looking forward to it, it's a new moms group I've joined. I can't decide whether or not to take him. Small child, lack of sleep, usually = poor behavior. Or, if I'm lucky, it could be the right amount of activity to push him over the edge into going to bed really, really early tonight, thereby allowing DH and I some alone time. Remember the feminine wiles? ;)

So as I revel in the chaos that is my current day, I take this moment of peace while the child's still in his room, to take a look at my itinerary.

It's time for a little shift folks. A change in plans if you will.

Recall the dates, Sep 14-21. The parks we've picked for the various days shall remain the same, but I'm going to share with you our amended schedule.

Sep 14 - Arrival Day - UnGodly Early Southwest Flight - arrive at Wilderness Lodge resort and bask in all that is Deluxe...ah...

DS has now left his room informing me no nap...I have now told him he needs to lay down on the couch and have quiet time and watch a movie...he picked Beauty and the Beast (my favorite princess!)...we'll see how long this lasts....where was I?

Ah yes, we'll be basking in all that is Deluxe, reveling in our hard-earned dollars being spent on this glorious resort. I plan to turn this into a resort day. If DS is hungry, we'll grab some lunch from Roaring Forks, and if he's tired we'll try to sneak in a nap if the room's ready. If it's not, perhaps we'll just stroll him around and explore the resort...I haven't been there in about four years, so I'd love to look at all the little nuances, maybe try to find some Hidden Mickeys. Of course, this evening, after we've gotten situated in our room, we'll be taking our lovely boat ride to the Magic Kingdom! :woohoo: Where I will certainly partake of a lovely Casey's hot dog, and maybe even a Dole Whip. Oh yeah, I'm living it up, baby! And...I think...that over at the Lunching Pad or Launching Pad or whatever they call it, across from Buzz Lightyear where they sell the Turkey legs, I believe they also sell Slushy Cokes. One down, only three more parks to go. :thumbsup2

Sep 15 - Alright, I know it's dorky, but I am so, so, so excited that WL has a health club. This means I can continue my workouts while on vacation. Every year vacation is my downfall. I stop working out that week, and never get back into the swing of things at home, and then proceed to pack on what I fondly call my winter fat. This year NOWinterfat. So this year, because of where we're staying, I'll be able to get on my happy little treadmill, never mind the swimming we'll be doing. So hopefully this morning, I'll work out, and then we'll head on over to the lovely Silver Creek Pool. I remember liking this pool when I was pregnant. It had such a natural feeling to it. I think we'll get DS a life vest and see if he wants to tackle the slide. If he's not up to it, that's okay, we'll just have fun playing in the pool. If we get sick of the pool...like there is such a thing with a three year old  ...then we'll head over to the playground and the beach area and just chill a bit. Lunch will be at Roaring Forks, and after this leisurely morning we'll still be heading over to Epcot and having our chill day and dinner at the Coral Reef.

Sept 16 - Okay, guys, here comes the exciting part. To get to our Chef Mickey's ADR, guess what we'll be doing? Getting on a boat! Can you tell I'm so excited about my newfound transportation options? Depending on what comes first, I know there's smaller boats that run between the resorts, if not we'll hop on the MK boat and then take the monorail. I am so, so excited to be in the Magic Kingdom area. So much of our vacation is planned around Magic Kingdom, and the Halloween Party, and Epcot, this is really going to work out to our advantage. I said to DH today, do you know how much easier our transportation is going to be? :cloud9: Never mind that we can still have all our Contemporary fun/shopping and head back to WL for a nap before the party. Then, all we have to do to get to the party, is take the boat. Have I mentioned the boat enough yet?:worship: I am also looking forward to the fact that after a long night at the Halloween party, I don't have to board a bus to get back to my room. This will be ranking very, very high with my tired feet/self.:thumbsup2

Sep 17 & 18 - These are our MGM and Animal Kingdom days so we will be partaking of the bus system. We'll have had to use the busses on our second day to get to Epcot, so no biggie. And even though WL does share with some of the other MK resorts, I am not concerned. It will be what it will be. My big selling point on this resort...if I can pick one...was the renovated rooms with bigger beds, and the boat to the MK. If I have to share a bus with another resort for certain places, so be it. It's a worth "sacrifice." ;)

Sep 19 - The Day Tonga and I Become Acquainted - Ah, yes...to get to the Poly, I'll be getting on...you guessed it...the boat! Also, I think because it'll be fairly easy to get back and forth instead of heading straight for a park right after breakfast, I think it might be nice to head back to the Lodge and maybe explore the resort a little bit more, go swimming, play video games, whatever. Then later, we can head to either MK or Epcot, whatever tickles our fancy. I definitely want to be in a park later, because I'll be jonesing for some of the yummy counter service options that Epcot has. Mexico, here I come. Maybe if we're having a good day, I can even catch Illuminations. If we call it a night early, then I'd love to catch the Electrical Parade that goes across Bay Lake. I know it's a little late for my little peanut, but I would just love to see it once, especially since we're staying at WL where it's so easily accessible.

Sep 20 - The Day Tink and I Become Acquainted - Also the day that we have a lunch ADR at the Crystal Palace, so we'll pop on over to the MK and partake in the yummy, yummy buffet. After Lapu Lapu Fest, if I can still walk ;) , we'll still head out to whichever park we feel we didn't get to complete, whether it be more MK or Epcot.

Sep 21 - Sadly I will have to leave the Wilderness Lodge. Real life will come a knocking. :confused3 But not before I've had oodles of fun!

I feel like :yay:

Did I mention the boat?;)

Do you always go in September?

I have for the past several years. I happened upon it one year because they had a really good annual passholder rate at the Wilderness Lodge. At the time, free dining hadn't been offered yet. Once I went in September, I really, really liked it. I still think October is a great month to go, but it has gotten much busier than it used to be.:thumbsup2

I have boat envy!
Reading your post gave me arguments about upgrading. I am determined to jump on the Deluxe bandwagon. I know Pop will be good but I figure when it's just the two of us, how nice would it be to enjoy all that deluxe-iness!? It's my planner-itis roaring it's ugly head, I can only tame the beast with an upgrade. I was looking at the vacation calendar at work and I think it might be too difficult for this year in December...but there is always next year. We do our next year's vacation schedule in November/December so I will just scheme in my little head until I have to finalize.

I have destroyed you!:confused3

Tink would be so proud of me. ;)

:lmao: It's just my heart's desire and you have very convincing arguments that make me revisit my choices! I think I can convince DF for WL before Poly, he really wants to stay at WL and I would stay at any of the deluxes so I can give him want he wants...he just doesn't know that he wants to upgrade yet. ;)

Don't be afraid to whip out our good old friend, persuasion. And her sister, feminine wiles. ;)

That's what I am talking about!!! ::yes::

Good girl, I knew you could pull it off!

I just can't believe I missed all this excitement over the last couple of days!!!
