Will MS ever charge for amendments?

Can they? Are they likely to? Don't other timeshare operations charge for amendments to bookings?

My reason for asking is that I'm about to make my first day-by-day 11 month reservation (Boardwalk View studio) and I feel a bit guilty about the extra work/calls involved.

I realise that each transaction does not have to take very long but surely when you add in all the members who are now hoping for the 7-month swap and also calling day-by-day, the demand on MS must have mushroomed.

Whilst the 7th month exchange could have been predicted, do you think the number of day-by-day bookings was?

Just interested to hear what others think.

I work for MS so I feel I'm an appropriate person to answer this. No, you'll never be charged for changing things, adding request, etc. Don't feel bad about doing it because it is part of our job and what we get paid for.

I doubt it will happen, but it could. No legal reason they could charge for canceling, multiple bookings, banking, borrowing, etc. Truth is you're already paying for it in the higher dues.

Well okay, I hadn't thought of that I know the perceived wisdom is that DVC is very expensive in that regard compared with other timeshares, but because of the flexibility (and I am light on weekend use) it has always seemed such a bargain to me.

Got to say now I've completed my day-by-day booking, MS didn't seem to mind so I won't be so hesitant about doing it again.
