Will magic band open gate at other resorts.?

when staying on points at dvc will my magic band open gate at other dvc resorts?
Or do we have to go to lane that is manned by security?

I believe pool gates typically require them to be used on the room door first.

If you've received the room ready text, the band should open the gate by the guard shack.
We checked into BLT this past Friday (3/3) and I touched my band to the reader at the gate and drove into the parking lot (this was prior to entering our room).

Years ago we were staying at BWV went to BC I had the paper parking permit on dash went to lane that was manned to enter parking lot.
the guard told me that my key to the world would open the gate to enter hotel/villa grounds anywhere.onroperty.
I was then able to go through the unmanned lane and use my key card for entry.
I think this was back when even valet parking was free for dvc.
Lat year we stayed at old key west. Our room was not ready.
But he cm at the desk was very eager to tell us that we can immediacy charge back to our room.
I donnot recall if we used the bands for pool access.
