Will I have trouble booking for 7

My reservation window opens soon and we have a party of 7…is it necessary to split into different groups?

I went mid-September with a group of 7 and had no issues getting reservations - CRT, BOG, Tusker House, Topolino’s, H&V, Oga’s, San Angel Inn. Our H&V was later in the afternoon, and I couldn’t manage to change it, but it ended up working out well. I also got a Wine Bar George and a Boathouse on Open Table while we were there.

I've read that sometimes the website doesn't like odd numbers, so if you're having trouble try searching for 8!

Depends on whether you are booking during the high season or not. From say January 3rd on you should have less problems booking. Beforehand use all the strategies available to book large parties such as splitting your party into two groups, searching for even number reservations, etc.

I had no issues booking for 7 for 2nd week in December using website from my iPad. I was up and ready at 5:45am (EDT) but ADRs didn't start until right at 6:00am. MDE app did not work well and my laptop on website was slow. Started with all 3 devices but after getting ‘Ohana and Topolino’s, used the iPad exclusively. I was booking early dinners (4-5pm) primarily since we like one sit down meal a day and waiting until 8pm is tough. Was able to get everything we wanted - Ale&Compass, Paddlefish, Teppan Edo, Tusker House, Boma, Via Napoli and Homecomin’.

Started having second thoughts on a few of the ADRs and considered Steakhouse 71, but nothing was available an hour or so later.

A few weeks ago we booked an 11 day split stay with 8 people. We got everything we wanted with out any problems with that number of people with the exception of Grand Floridian Café. With that restaurant we had to book 6 people and 2 people for the same times as it showed no availability with 8 but no problem when we split it. Places we booked include Steakhouse 71, Olivia's for both breakfast and dinner, Raglan Road Brunch, Boma breakfast and Dinner, and Jaleo.
