Will I get there in time?

Our flight arrives at 9:50 am. We are staying at the Contemporary and have reservations at BOG at 12:05 pm. Am I cutting it to close? Is there anyway I can make it? I've been trying to get reservations there and this is the only time I could get.

I assume you're using ME to get to WDW? I don't think there's any way you can make a 12:05 inside MK. I think 1:30 or later would be best, and that's assuming your flight arrives on time.

It's certainly possible. I assume you won't be waiting for luggage at the airport carousel. Using MDE, it typically takes an hour and a half or so to get from plane to resort. So if your flight is on time, and assuming a bad-case scenario of it taking 2 full hours to get from your plane to resort, you'd have 15 minutes to get to BOG, which won't happen, since it will take you at least that long just to walk from CR to MK & get admitted, & BOG is a 10 minute walk into the park. But WDW restaurants give about a 20-minute grace period for ADR arrival, so you would be okay.

Bottom line, you're cutting it close, but you're more likely to make the reservation than not, assuming you don't dawdle & you're all able-bodied. In your shoes I'd keep your current ressie, but keep looking for a later one. Try using Touring Plans' free reservation finder.

If everthing runs perfect you might. But if your plane is late, you have a long wait for DME (we have had waits of 10 minutes to over an hour), traffic issues, etc. Keep looking for something later and also do what Shanti suggested and sign up for Touring Plans free ADR finder. You can have 2 ADRS searches without paying for the annual subscription.

I think it is too close. Sign up for the ADR finder as suggested above. It is GREAT.

That's cutting it too close, IMO. Your flight could be delayed, there could be a line at DME and/or there could be other stops before getting to the CR (if you're taking DME), etc that would cause you to miss that ADR. This is just my opinion, but I'd say you're more likely to miss it than make it (just my thoughts). If it were me, I'd cancel the 12:05 and keep looking to see if a later time opens up.

Thanks so much everyone. I've still got some time so I'll definitely keep looking to find a later one. That way I won't be stressing out all morning trying to make it!

I think it is totally do able. I would just plan to get off DME and go straight to MK. You can walk there in under 10 min and once you get in, another 5 min walk back to BOG. That gives you two full hours from plane touchdown to DME resort arrival. ADRs have a 15 min grace period as well, so you can arrive by 12:20.

Hm, I thought the ADR finder sites were shut down after last years fiasco.

Anyway, OP, I don't think you answered the question of if you were using the Magical Express or not. If you are, then heed the caution of others. There is no set "route" for the DME buses. You could be the first or last stop, and if your plane is late or DME is being held up, you'll be SOL.

So, I'll say this... It's doable, but with so many variables in play, it's not something I'd chance missing. If you're able to back things up an hour or so, that'd be better to give you some breathing room.

I'd keep it for now and sign up for the Touring Plans reservation finder. If it finds a later ADR (and you're able to get it!), you can cancel this one. If you aren't able to get a later one, there's a chance, if everything goes without delay, that you'll make it. Our spring break flight arrived at 3:30. We had a Chef Mickey's reservation for 5:15 (I tried to make it later!). I knew I was taking a chance. In fact, I didn't even tell my kids I was so worried we'd miss it. But we got to the Contemporary (where we were staying) by 4:55, dropped our backpacks in the room and went to dinner! It helped that our flight got in about 10-15 minutes early.

So I'd say it is possible. It would help a lot too, if you're a fast walker or happen to be a runner. BOG is far! I did it spring break from the Contemporary in 15 minutes. I'm a runner and ran from the CR to MK entrance (stopping only for security, luckily I had no bags other than a small pocketbook), then walked (as fast as I could thru the crowds) to BOG. It sounds like this ADR is lunch. From my own personal experience, I think you could be 15-20 minutes and still be able to keep the ADR (with the understanding that there's a chance you could be told you're too late)...I wouldn't advise making lateness for ADR's a habit, though.

Unless you are very lucky, no way. Allow at least 3 hours from when you are supposed to arrive until your first ADR. In order to make the one you have everything has to go perfect. I've had it take as long as 30 minutes to even get off of the aircraft.

What would be our personal timetable, based on YOUR flight arrival:
Arrive: 10 AM (planes generally late).
Get to ME: 10:20 AM (assumes you know the way).
ME Wait: Allow 30-40 minutes - it's now 11:00 AM.
ME departs: up to 60 minutes to Hotel. It's now 12:00 noon.
Check in, dump bags with concierge: about 30 minutes (it's now 12:30).
Bus to MK: 20 minutes (it's now just about 1:00 PM).
Get through Security and bag check: 15 minutes (1:15).
Walk like MAD to BOG - and check in? About 20 minutes (It is now about 1:30 PM - on a good day).

Just our opinion - you are off by a good hour. Really, were it US? (not you) - I would set that ressie for 2:00 PM, or skip it altogether.

We wish you the best of luck....
All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.

They are staying at Contemporary. No need to bus to MK. It's a fast walk. And, sorry, but it should not take 20 minutes to get to DME after you get off the plane unless you walk at a snail's pace. I routinely do it in under 10, easily.

And now they have a bag check on the walkway from Contemporary. Will take 2 minutes, not 15.

And 30min to check in and dump bags? This can be skipped...just check in AFTER lunch. The room probably won't be ready at noon anyway. And DME will have the bags, so no need to dump anything.

Thanks! That's why I asked this in resorts, I wasn't sure about the walk from the Contemporary to the Magic Kingdom. I think I'll still move it back just so I'm not obsessiouvly checking the time, but I really appreciate the specifics about the walk and the bag check along the way.

It can easily take 20 minutes to get to DME. It all depends on where on the plane a person is sitting, the ages of those in the traveling party, etc. In December, the DME area was so crowded that it took us 40 minutes just to check in. It wasn't Christmastime, either; it was 9:10 am on a Saturday in early December. We then waited 55 minutes for a bus to BLT and sat on said bus for another 15 minutes before leaving. All in all, it was after 12:00 pm when we arrived at the resort.

We are taking the Magical Express.

Not to mention... People also have to go to the restroom when they get off the plane. Having a few people that have to take turns watching luggage so others can go.. that'll add a few minutes.

OP, I don't know what your budget looks like, but you could possibly get a ride from Florida Tours and that'll speed the process up. They're a great car service that we use every time we go. Then you're not sitting on a bus going to possibly other resorts first and waiting and waiting and waiting. You go straight from the airport to your resort!

Just an idea if you hadn't thought about it.

No, I don't there is anyway
Best case scenario, your plane is on time, your Resort is the first stop on DME, that takes 90 minutes, you have no carryons, you walk straight to MK. Now you have to go through bag check, through security, through the tap styles all of which can take 30 minutes or more. Then you have to walk to BOG. And that is if everything goes perfectly.
Contrary to what @Shanti said, there is no official "grace time", especially at a busy restaurant like BOG. They MAY allow you 15 minute leeway and they may not.
I would
