Will I get an 'upgrade'?

We are booked at AKL for 12/8-12/14 At the time we made our reservations...only standard view was available. The CM said I could call back and possibly get a savannah view. I have tried every day since...with no luck yet Should I keep trying?
At any rate...we are soooooo excited!

If you want it keep calling. Someone could cancell at anytime. Also ask about it at check in, you never know.

I think this is very strange...

You may be able to greatly increase your chances by mentioning that you would accept an upgrade for just part of your stay. That would of course make it necessary to change rooms. But there's a good chance that there is just one night that is fully booked. After all, 80% or more of the rooms at AKL are savannah view.

If you get an upgrade for several days, you could continue to call for the other days.

I called today (again ) and got upgraded to a savannah view at AKL! It was $33/ day more, but I am sooooo excited
