Will I be happy?

Even though our October trip is fast approaching and PS will need to be made in a few weeks, I am already thinking about our next trip.

My DH and I will celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary in May, 06. I want to do something special for the event; however, my DH's only request is that we don't celebrate it in May. He wants to celebrate in December which he has declared as his favorite time to go to WDW.

I am hoping to use our DVC points to stay in VWL for 8 nights. Then I want to spend the next 6 nights at 2 deluxe resorts. I was thinking AKL concierge since my DH loved it when we visited last time and GF main building concierge since I have always wanted to stay there.

Before we bought DVC, we had never stayed on property. Actually, our upcoming trip will be the first time for us. Are these good choices? Are there better/more romantic choices? What sort of rooms/requests should I make?

Please help a newbie (to onsite vacations) make the right decision.

I think GF would be very romantic. It is said to have wonderful Christmas decorations, along with WL. Are you sure you want to move 3 times during your stay? If you do a second resort after GF, I would chose Yacht Club but I'm partial to the Epcot area resorts. I don't know anything about AKL, but to me it would be too similar to VWL. For me the Poly would be more romantic, but I like the tropical theme and I've heard great things about their concierage. If you haven't visited the Poly yet, maybe you can stop for dinner or drinks on your Oct. trip.

Thanks for the ideas, swilphil. We plan on stopping at the Poly during our October trip to see what we think of the interior.

The only reason I would consider 3 moves is because while we are staying in the concierge resorts, we won't plan on visiting much of the parks. Just planning to enjoy the resorts.

As for the Yacht club, we are staying at the BCV in October. I wanted to pick resorts from a different locations. I have heard positive things about the Yacht club concierge from people.

Anyone stay at the AKL concierge or have other advice?
