We are staying 8/16-8/23 @ the beach club villas. My kids are DS 14 and DD 10. They are not of an age to sleep on the pull out together, nor would they want to. Any ideas? All I can think of is making a little bed out of the sofa cushions for my DD and she can sleep on the floor in the master. It is hardly fair but we did not have the points for a 2 bdrm this year.
What do you all do in this situation?

Could you bring an air mattress and some sheets? You can get them for $15-20 at a Wal-Mart type store. There are ususally extra pillows and blankets in the room. I'm not sure the cusions will be comfortable. I thought I read on these boards that there are no cots available for he DVC villas.

No, sorry, Disney will not offer or rent you any type of extra bedding. Some people pack an air mattress, maybe that could be an option? But I think the cushions on the florr give the same effect, except maybe the cushions can move apart. You will need to pack sheets for the floor sleeper.

About the fairness of which kid sleeps on the floor, how about alternating? DD one night, DS the next night ect. I bet at 14, your DS wouldn't mind sleeping on the floor every night. Boys can be rugged like that. I have never lost any sleep over the fact that one of my kids has to sleep on the floor. Most kids really enjoy it. It is like "camping out".

Your trip is only days away!!!! Have a great time!

I did not mention my 14 year old son is 6'1 and also has cerebral palsey. Sleeping on the floor is very uncomfortable for him although he is the first to volunteer. I really don't want a stiff 14 year old limping through the park.
I had an air mattress on my mind but the aero beds are $100.00. I really cannot blow anymore $$$$ with school shopping right around the corner.
Thanks to all in advance who have responded. We will still have a great trip. We have a queen bed at home so maybe we will have to sneek her in our bed? She is skinny!!

We have a twin air mattress and pump that we take with us on every WDW trip. We bought it at Target for less than $30. I think the brand name is Greatland. The aerobeds are the top of the line, pump built in type. Ours is nothing special, but it holds air and is very comfortable for one person to sleep on. I use it often at home also for sleepovers, kids that want to sleep in my room when they are sick, in the tent in the backyard. I keep it in a small duffel bag, ready to travel. You can find them in Target, Wal Mart, Oshman's, Academy etc in the camping section of the store. There is plenty of room in the DVC 1 br's for an air mattress on the floor.

I was going to suggest that also, dbond. That is what we have on hand as well, and the little battery operated pump works just fine. At OKW, the love seat makes a great extra bed for kids that aren't too large too. I guess I don't know if BCV has those though.

We tend to get a 2 bedroom for 4 people most of the time, but occationally when we have families with us, kids want the living room instead of being in the second bedroom with their parents.

If it's okay with you, there is plenty of room in the king bed for DD. Maybe you'd want to try her sleeping on the floor and have joining you as a back-up option?

And there always the option of just spreading out a comfortor (again, bringing your own) on the floor, or a sleeping bag.
