Will DVC combine contracts?

We currently have a 150 point contract with an August use year that we purchased on the resale market. We are considering purchasing a small resale at our home resort that also has an August use year. Since both contracts have an August use year will DVC combine them into one contract?

Make sure they are titled the same. During the purchase process, you need to let people know you already have an Aug UY contract and you want them combined under one member ID. Like the agent who is helping you purchase, the title company, etc.

Historically they have if they are titled exactly the same assuming the same UY but there are no guarantees. I've read a couple of situations where thy didn't but should have and I'm not aware of any of those getting them combined later though it's been a few years. I'd make sure you put your member number on the contract and alert both DVC and the closing company that you are already a member and want them combined.

They won't combine them into one contract but if you follow Deb & Bill's advice, they will put them under the same membership. Having both contracts under the same membership will allow you to combine the points from both contracts to make a reservation.

Not one contract but you will be able to access both contracts under one member account. When booking you just select which contract to pull points from.
