We are off to DLP on Monday, flying into Beauvais with Ryanair, then crossing Paris by Metro/ RER. Was a little worried to see on BBC news that foreign office are advising avoidance of areas where protests are going to be.

Anyone know how to find out wherethe protests will be on Monday when we travel, and whether DLP will be affected by strikes on Tuesday?

Hi rachelm and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet posting guidlines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

Sorry can't help with protests, hopefully you will be okay.

I'm just bumping this up in case anyone else knows about the strikes and how it affects DLP or Paris in general?

:)

Trip from Beauvais to DLP was uneventful, but would have been a bit quicker if we'd realised that there is a metro station inside the Palais des Congres. No worse than going on the tube in London.

DLH was gorgeous, but was a little disappointed with the restaurants after all the recommendations! Very expensive buffet meal at Inventions - DD would only eat the bread rolls and pudding! Loved seeing the characters though.

Weather not bad considering it was March- 2 dry days one wet.

Very disappointed that Lion King show not running while we were there, neither was the tram tour at the Studios.

DD (4) was frightened on all the rides involving dark (most of them!) but loved the spinning teacups and Dumbo/ Flying Carpets/ Orbitron. Walt's Restaurant great but visit cut short by DD having a paddy about being reqired to eat buttered pasta (about all she does eat at home :confused3 ) and me tipping an ice bucket over someone's camera in my haste to get her to stop screaming!

Wish I'd had time to have a massage at the hotel, but glad I didn't find out how much it would have cost me!

Would go back like a shot, but probably not with my family ;)

Sorry to hear that DD was somewhat over whelmed. Hopefully you have managed to retain a good few memories and photos to match :goodvibes

My DD was four when we last went to WDW, and she was exactly the same with most of the rides there. It's amazing how many rides there are, that you think are so tame, but terrify a small child. Makes the visit a little restrictive!!!

Glad you weren't bothered by any strikes. :thumbsup2 Thanks for letting us know how your trip went. :)

I love being there with the family but I have often wondered what it would be like, just to have one day to wander around all on my own, I don't think I'd bother with any of the rides, just soak up the atmosphere and take in the scenery. :cloud9:

Glad you weren't affected by any disruptions, sorry your DD wasn't impressed with some of the rides, maybe next time :goodvibes

Glad you got there uneventfully and that overall you had a good time. :goodvibes What a shame about the Lion King. :sad2:
