Will be getting scooter from Gold Mobility

How exactly does that work? When I get to resort, do I call? When I called to add a day to my next visit, I was told they will call me at home a few days before my reservation. Is that true?
 
They either call or text the night before your reservation, then ask you (or at least they did me) to call after you land to verify the time (because often, airplanes don't land when they "should"). Somewhere along the way, they verify the drop off time, which is usually shortly after you're due to get to the resort. Most times, it's been 10-15 minutes for me, but this last time it was about 1/2 hour and being July, it was way too hot to wait outside. So I just sat in the coolness of the lobby, then they texted me when they arrived, before they got the scooter out of the truck. So that gave me the 10 minutes I needed to walk outside (hey, when I walk, it's super-slow!) and we met right outside the front door. On my other rentals, I've gotten from the DME bus to the nearest bench to wait. Is there anyone else who's had a different experience?

When we rented with Gold we set a specific time, it was not tied to our arrival; for us it was actually the next morning.

I rented from them in April and gave them a time to meet me at the resort. They were there 15 minutes before me waiting, it was awesome! Then I scheduled a time for pick up on departure day and they arrived right on time! They are great!
 
I am renting from them for the second time in October. Why won’t they email a confirmation? And this time I am experiencing significant delays with them returning my phone calls. I need to change delivery time. Extremely busy, staff shortage, both…? My trip is quickly approaching.

Maybe call and double-check that they have the correct Email for you. The first couple of times I rented from them, I never got an Email from them either. At the time, I figured "Maybe they don't Email confirmations? And everything else went OK, so I didn't worry-much. However, when I called them for my third rental, we discovered they'd always had the wrong Email address for me-forgot some numbers.

If you call them, leave a message including name, date of need for scooter and resort. Leave a message you want to change delivery time to ----. I am sure they will change it.

I did all of those things. They did call me back this afternoon but I was in a meeting. When I returned the call, I got their voicemail. Their online reservation form did not ask for an email address.

Unfortunately, like everywhere else they are having staffing shortages. It seems to be just how things are these days and it is annoying. They were using a third party to handle call overflows, but that proved to cause more problems than it solved from what DH was told.

DH usually just texts the person he dealt with on the previous trip directly and they wither take care of it or direct him to call if that is what is needed.
 
Happy to report, I finally connected by phone with a live person. Made my changes, paid in full and they sent me a receipt by text. Nicest people!!! Having rented scooters on multiple trips, the quality of Gold Mobility’s are definitely superior to any others I have tried.
 
Glad you finally got ahold of them. They have been exceedingly busy as of late, to the point that they were fully booked for a while.
