Wilderness Pool Work

Does anyone know what the extent of the work being done at the Wilderness Pool. I noticed its going to be closed for over a month.

It should be back open by now. The dates on one of the Dis sites stated it was March 15-April 22. This is the pool by the cabins, not the big one.

I believe those dates are wrong, we just got back from the campgrounds and we were told that the closure dates were moved to; start in May and end the1st week in June, but that is all we could find out. I know the area is flagged for underground piping which is needed during any construction project. Also on the Friday we left, there was a CM from engineering taking measurements but just said it was routine. Looking around the pool the only things that I could come up with is that several chairs need replacing and maybe the bottom of pool needed painting. I know the bathrooms were just done a couple of years ago so Im hoping its nothing major like they did at the Meadows pool

The dates are pushed later. About 2 weeks ago, I received a letter from Disney apologizing for the pool being closed during our stay. I didn't save it and don't remember the exact date it would reopen.

Our trip is 5/28/11- 6/5/11 and this is the cabin pool, not the big Meadows pool.

Sorry Marty, didn't know the dates had been pushed back; just going by what the website stated. Hope this won't impact you too much with the small pool being closed.

It is the Wilderness swim'in pool which is the cabin pool. Not the Meadows swim'in pool which is the bigger pool

I hope they don't make change the depth its the only deep pool left.

I'm with you it is nice to have a big boys pool at the Fort and not have to go to WL to swim

They must have different dates because it was definitely open for business and swimmers when I was there April 5-10.
