Wilderness Lodge to Sea World?

I am helping my sister in law plan their pre-Thanksgiving week trip to the Mouse and they told me (gulp) that they want to spend one day at Sea World. We always stay on property the whole vacation. Any suggestions besides a cab for getting from the Lodge to Sea World? Any info on cost/flexibility would be helpful. Are advance reservations required and how do they work the return trip. Obviously, cabs are ready when you are but we're thinking that may be far more expensive than a car service or something else.

Thanks,

Check out this thread from the SeaWorld board here:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1162257

It covers many different options, including city bus, taxi, and towncar.

I'd highly recommend taking the Lynx bus, it's only $1.50 per person each way, busses leave the TTC every 30 minutes, it takes about 20 minutes to get to SeaWorld (no stops in between the TTC and SW), and it let's you off on the edge of SeaWorld's parking lot.

Wow, I had never even heard of this. Do they have a schedule of return buses every 30 minutes also or how does that work? I totally forgot about the other board. Thanks!! That's why these boards are so great!

I think gw lit listed the best possible option to get to SeaWorld.

However, for another alternative, and this will cost significantly more: rent a car from the Dolphin Alamo/National desk for the day. You can get to the Dolphin via Disney transportation, then be on your way. The biggest positive I can see with this option is the greater flexibility it gives you time-wise. If that's not an issue, though, I'd probably go with the Lynx bus.

We didn't want to mess with busses to get to SW, so DH and I booked Tiffany Town Car. $55 round trip plus tip. So worth it.

Glad to help!

Yes, return busses back to the TTC go every 30 minutes as well. You can find the bus schedule for the Route #50 bus on the Lynx website: http://www.golynx.com/schedule.cfm?route=50
