Okay so I just booked the WL for the end of November and now I've just read that they are planning a rehab. Anyone know how extensive the rehab is supposed to be? When is it going to start? End? So many questions.....
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Patty

The thread I saw on the topic was a "What IF the WL got a rehab, what should be done" thread.

The only thing that looked definite was some work on the concierge level.

No dates were set for anything else, same for the Contemporary rehab.

Oh okay, good to know. I had a hard enough time talking dh into staying at the WL (he's concerned it may be too remote) If there is construction going on, he may want to switch. Thanks for the info!

It's definately not too remote! It's only a boat ride away from MK and the TTC, and it never took us any longer than 15-20 mins. to get anywhere. We're headed back in May, this is our favorite resort! He'll love it, have a good time!

DH had fought me tooth and nail about staying at the WL, wouldn't hear of it for last June, so we went back to the CR. While staying there I suggested we ride over and check it out. We fell in love with the whole theme! Stayed there in October, had a great courtyard room. DD9 has requested it for her 10th birthday trip in June. I honestly can't say that I saw anything that screamed "rehab" to me, my only thing was I wish the rooms were a tad larger. Of course if you book a bunk bed room theymight seem to be. :)

I am happy to say no bunk beds will be needed for this trip as it is just dh and I! Yahoo! The reason I want him to LOVE where we are staying is because he surprised me for my birthday with this trip and then I went and changed the date and the hotel. He originally had us booked at Pop Century in June- which in my opinion is way too hot and crowded. Don't get me wrong, I love Pop Century, in fact, we just stayed there with the kids in January and had a wonderful time but I thought since it was just the two of us it would be nicer if we could do something a little more cozy and romantic. So instead of going in June, I booked the end of Nov-beginning of Dec. at the WL. I know, I know, I sound like a big loser but I REALLY want to make this special for him and I as we rarely get away without the kids. So.....to get back to the original reason I wrote this post, I think it will be less appealing to him if there is a renovation going on while we were there. I guess I will just have to cross my fingers! Thanks for the input! Patty
