I have stayed at a few DVC resorts and Wilderness Lodge really sticks out to me. I can't wait to hear more about the expansion and see details of the progress. I was just wondering if there is any information about the price per point to own and the amount of points for a week at a one of their new waterfront bungalows?

None of that info will be released until they are ready to start selling, which will be quite awhile. If they start on remodeling hotel side rooms at best it might be a year? Might be looking at 18 months or so though.

Yeah, it seems like it may be a while. They have already planned to close the main pool for 18 months starting at the end of this month. Based on the increase in price per points with the new resorts, it will probably be unreasonable.

Florida timeshare law dictates what and when a developer can release project info.

My guess is it will follow the same pattern as Poly -- they will announce $5 increase for PVB/AUL with VWL (phase II) priced the same, then offer a $5 presale discount for existing members (along with previous use year points to sweeten the deal - so 51 years total). At that price, I think many existing DVC members with add-on-itis will spring for a 25 point minimum contract:p

Figure about 18 months to 2 years before any announcement on (a) price per point, (b) points needed per night, and (c) what the relationship will be between old VWL and new (separate DVC's or the same, the latter raising other key issues such as end dates and whether old VWL will be overrun by new buyers with the same 11 month reservation rights looking for the bargain rooms when points for any new units will be outrageously high in comparison to old VWL). During that time, if Disney follows the VGF model, it will, in increments over that 18 month to 2 year period, raise prices at other resorts about 50% and then offer new VWL as a bargain when it comes in just under the going rate at the time for Poly or VGF.

The main pool at WL is not closing, it was recently remodeled, the leisure pool at VWL is closing as it will be enlarged during the construction.
