I am a Florida resident.
I am a Seasonal Passholder.

I see discounts posted for $140 a night deluxe. I have not found out where it says it applies to WL. To make things worse I booked last night through Disney for 8/31 - 9/5 and they say my rate is 160 a night plus tax! Other threads are talking about 140 a night for WL.

Questions: how do I book a night for 140 at WL?
Codes?
Direct through Disney?

Please help?

check out the resort board.. all of the codes are listed there.

The discount board shows FDV for passholders
BUK for general public
FDS for florida resident
I have asked disney to try every code posted and still I'm qouted 160. other threads are saying 140 but I have no idea what code, how they booked it, etc. I've been trying to get someone to hold my hand through this and tell me point blank do this. I've searched and searched and don't know what do. I need a code geek to get me through this or someone with patience who will find the right info becuase I'm spent right now. The discout pages say 140 a night for a standard deluxe somewhere but Disney says what code and rejects all codes I give them.

We have the AP rate at WL in September for $160 per might. This is for a Woods view room. There was a cheaper rate when I checked two days ago that was for the standard view. I can't remember if that's courtyard view or something else.

Is it possible that they have sold out of the standard view and that's why only the $160 is coming up?

For AP holders I see Wilderness Lodge at $135 night on the website (standard)

Your total for 5 nights with tax should be $759.40

Where in Florida are you?

Hi there fellow Floridians :beach: - I am new here and was wondering what other Floridians were here. But where did you find that rate? I am not a passholder and I was checking out the Fla Residents specials and never saw a special for the WL. I saw OKW, Saratoga Springs and some moderate ones.

Well, not that we can go, but....

I found that rate on Expedia for the end of August.

HTH.

Welcome to the DIS FL neighbor! :goodvibes I always check the "Discount" section here on the DIS for a list of FL Res discounts (along with all the rest of the offers.) Here's a link:

http://www.wdwinfo.com/discounts/discounts-resorts.htm#fla

Notice where it shows $140 for a standard room at a Deluxe Resort under the FDS code - also notice that there are blackout dates for using this code.
Sometimes the WDW website is s-l-o-w about adding all their specials, for some reason :confused3 You'll find that the website leaves a lot to be desired! :rotfl: You'll have to call in (or use a TA) if the website doesn't have a deal you've read about loaded yet on their site.

Have fun on the DIS!

:dance3:

OK, so I just checked out the area that you posted with the specials. BUT I am a bit confused :confused3 I see where it says $140 for a Deluxe, but then when I clicked on the Deluxe hotels, it didn't show this rate anywhere. Where (and how) would I plug in a hotel and date to see what comes up?? Is that even possible or do I do that somewhere else?

I just went to the WDW website and checked August 29-30 for 2 adults, and it was there. I clicked on the "FL Resident" on the right side toward the top (it's in tiny print!), and then on the next screen that comes up I entered my FL zip. Then I clicked on "Special Offers" on the left, and then went to "It's Your Choice!". Now, you have to realize their website is a mess and the "It's Your Choice!" advertisement only mentions values, etc. GO AHEAD and click there for deluxes too. It's only because I have played around on their website so much that I've found that the deluxes are usually listed with discounts along with the values even though there is no mention of them! NOWHERE on their ad copy does it say WL for $140, so you can't go by that, you just have to forge ahead! - but when you pick WL (and if it's available), you'll get:

Special Rate Type : August September Florida Resident Room Only
Room Type
Standard View Included
All rooms have two queen-size beds or one king-size bed, table and chairs, writing table, ceiling fan, private balcony or patio, vanity area with two sinks, and bath. Sleeps four. Standard View rooms offer a view of the parking and service areas. Non-smoking rooms are available. Amenities include in-room wall safe, voice mail and hairdryer. Iron and ironing board, coffeemaker, mini-bar and refrigerator are available upon request.

Date Rate per Night
Wed, Aug 29 $ 140.00

And these other room types come up to add more $$$ to the $140, if you want a certain type:
Woods View (add)+$29 †
Woods View Bunk Bed +$51 †
Courtyard View +$62 †
Courtyard View Bunk Bed +$90 †
Deluxe Room - Club Level +$304 †
******
So, why do they make it so hard on you? :confused3 Who knows? Lots of times it's easier to just call in and tell them the code, or just tell them you are a FL Res and what do they have for your dates. :goodvibes

Good luck!

I booked on line(Disney site) yesterday for 9/24-9/27. departing the 28th... we are AP holders (no Fla.residents). ..it took me awhile but i finally found the way to do this.. ..we are retired and our dates are very flexible.. .I would love to stay at the GF also but cannot get the price below $375.00.. .... .could i do better if i call??????.

Thanks much Seahunt for all the tips - it does seem quite complicated :scared:

Now let me ask you all this...it seems like most of the specials are through September. From experience, is it just because nothing has yet been listed for let's say Oct.-Dec.?? I know there are still slow times during these months as well. Do they just wait until it gets closer, hoping to encourage more Sept. business?? I was originally shooting to go to Disney during Sept. (was very anxious to take advantage of some of their hotel specials :goofy: ) But now I may be shooting for Universal in Sept (due to a free ticket - yeah!), so I am now looking at Dec. for Disney (before the Christmas rush). BUT I am hoping for some of these great hotel offers!!!
