Wilderness Lodge First Timers Question

Hello,

As a result of my frantic quest for BAS rates I find myself spending two days at the Wilderness Lodge to bridge the gap between my two other reservations. Yay... I saved $500.00 CAN and had to upgrade, poor me... *smiles*

At any rate, I don't know much about the Lodge and it seems I have reserved a "Lodge View Room". Now I understand Standard View, Woods View and Courtyard View... but what is a "Lodge View"?

I will also be requesting a smoking room if possible... it really doesn't matter much to me though as it is a rare thing, can do without it but does anyone have any suggestions regarding a great location for my surprise "Lodge View" room? Or perhaps someone could point me towards a map of rooms at the WL?

Lodge view seems to be a replacement name for woods view. Check out the WL thread on this page for lots of great information!
The info on that thread about woods view, AKA lodge view, is this: These rooms are above the front desk on floors 5&6. North side woods view rooms are on floors1-6 and face the "otter pond" and a handful face the MK. Floors 4,5&6 above Whispering Canyon are woods view Lobby rooms.
Our room was a woods view and it faced the Villas.

We had a courtyard view, so I can't tell you about Woods view. But I did want to say that this hotel is one of our favorites!!! We love love love the Wilderness Lodge. You will have a great stay there!

Does anyone know if you have to request a non smoking room or if they automatically put you there unless you request smoking?

If you want non smoking...put in the request.

Lodge View is the same as Woods View.
