Wilderness Lodge, Concierge Level -
Do they ever post what food items will be available for AM. PM and snacks ?

If a menu for at least dinner was posted in the AM, then maybe a big lunch at the park and a CL dinner would be satisfactory.
I would just have to see if my DS & DD would eat it.

Could you get a PB & J or just J sandwhich too ?

from another web-site:
AM:
muffins, coffee, bagels, cereal, juice, milk
Snacks:
pretzels and gummy worms
PM:
wine and cheese appetizers
one soup (turkey gumbo, tomato basil, clam chowder, broccoli & cheese, etc )
one light entree (spring rolls, ziti with meat sauce, meatballs, beef tips, pork roast, etc)
bread and butter
chocolate milk or white milk, along with limitless cans of coke products

Do far we have a Courtyard reservation. But maybe with an AP rate, we could swing CL.

Anyone know about WL CL menu's ?

Thanks

I just returned from a trip, and there was never any notice as to what would be served. The CMs might know, but I never asked. They did always have crustless PB & J sandwiches. Remember the food offerings are not meant to replace a whole meal, but with a large lunch, it might be plenty for someone with a light appetite. Etiquette was that people took a small cup of what was offered not huge platefuls. The nights I was there the offerings from 5-7 pm were:
hearty vegetable soup and beef stroganoff
Italian wedding soup and chicken & potatoes
some kind of soup and salmon potpie

From 5-7 there was also always bread, cheese, crackers, grapes, wine, beer, and assorted soft drinks. Everything was delicious!!!

Good luck with deciding on concierge or not. Warning: once you've experienced the convenience of concierge, it's hard to go back.

Thanks,
If we have a large late lunch - such at CP or Cindy's at 2pm
A piece of fruit, some cheese and crackers and a soda would be great for dinner. We could order a pizza from room service to go along with the CL offerings too.

We do not need to eat meat for both lunch and dinner.
Would would be coming home from WDW 10 pounds heavier, if we ate 3 big meals a day :rotfl: !

We also are not big eaters. We could just have some fruit and a bowl of mac & cheese for dinner. That would be enough, especially after a big meal for lunch.

So, if the CL offered fruit (apples, pears, oranges, banana's) for breakfast and dinner - that would be wonderful.
No need for meat dishes or alcoholic beverages (which I hope are monitored by a CM)

Pooh2001 - The CL / food offerings vs. Dinner topic has been debated quite a bit in the past on the boards.....The Grand Floridian concierge welcoming letter clearly states that they are "Evening Hors d'oeuvres" .....not "Dinner".............

However, during stays at the Polynesian and AKL CL, we have witnessed plenty of people using the "Evening Hors d'oeuvres" as their dinner ---- sadly, we have even overheard Mommies telling their children Not to whine about the limited choices because THAT was what they were eating and better be happy about it (The most pitiful example was the family that told their 7-8 yo daughters that they would just have to have dessert for dinner at 8:00pm because they had missed the "Evening Hors d'oeuvres" when they arrived back to the resort at 7:10pm - "But Mommy, I'm hungry NOW!" - "You'll just have to wait, I am NOT paying extra for food when we've paid all this Money for concierge").

We've stayed at WL CL, but were never there during the evening due to being at the parks (or at dinner).

That being said....it is more than enough for someone with a small appetite.......But bear in mind that it is only from 5-7pm each evening, and it sometimes can be a real pain in your touring plan to get back to the room during that time frame.......

I love staying this level, that being said I just have the breakfast offerings, then go back to the room gather all my things I take to the parks and I am out for the day until dinner reservations for dinner.

Yeah, the CL offerings aren't meals, but if you're not big eaters it'll generally be enough to replace at least one meal out. For us, CL breakfast is always sufficient. We still eat lunch & dinner out, but supplementing it with the CL offerings means we order less (lighter meals, no dessert, etc.).

AMEN!! :thumbsup2

Food offerings in CL is fairly good. Definitely doesn't replace a full meal, but great for snacking...and the desserts at the end of the night are an excellent way to end your day! CL is also great because we were able to stock up on bottles of water and whole fresh fruit when heading out to the parks.
