Wilderness Lodge campfires, marshmellows ...

I read about campfires w/some disney characters at the Wilderness Lodge and am wondering what days and time they have this? Thx everyone

I called Fort Wilderness directly and they gave me the time and what movie was playing for the night I was interested it. It begins with a sing-a-long with Chip and Dale. There are phot ops was Chip and Dale walk around afterwards. They show a Disney movie. Anytime during the sing-a-long till the fires die down, you can roast your marshmellows. The have a stand where you can buy your supplies along with other movie goodies.

Remember that this is held at Fort WIlderness, not Wilderness Lodge. They are two very separate and distinct places.

They are at Fort Wilderness, not Wilderness Lodge!

When we stayed at WL, they gave us a printed schedule of all the FW events! If your resort doesn't give you one, just ask!

We didn't go, but I've heard they are a lot of fun.

The campfire is held nightly in the center of the campground near the Meadow trading post area. You can easily take a bus from WL, the bus stops at the trading post. Marshmellows are sold there. Chip and Dale lead a sing along and then it is followed by a Disney movie. A rarity at wdw it is Free!!!

The FW Campfire is a blast. Like stated it is behind the Meadows Trading Post. Starts at 7:00 PM unless rain and there is the “Chuckwagon” where you can buy a bag of Smore fixins with two sticks for 5.00. They also have Hot Dogs, Popcorn and the usual fare.
There are two campfires where you can fix your Smores. There is a Gal that is a hoot to lead the Sing-a-Long and Chip N dale make the rounds. Then a Disney classic cartoon and then a Disney Movie. There are bleachers or you can take a chair or blanket.

I can highly recommend the Campfire!! We were there in Sept and it was the favorite part of the trip for the 7 year old. Very laid back and relaxing!!

I know which is which, Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness .. but for some reason mix their names up

I will make sure to call and ask about the schedule when we are at OKW. Sounds great on those down days when we are not at a park.
