l have been trying since January to book a room at WL for the Sunday after Thanksgiving through Thursday and nothing is available. I have called Disney and nothing shows up. Would they really be full that early? Someone said a lot of the rooms had been changed to villas, I think. Any ideas

Yep, half of WL is now DVC. Plus that time of year books very quickly.

Agree with the post above -that time of year is crazy busy now. Maybe better availalibility the beginning of November?

When they release discounts/free dining, people switch their reservations around and new things pop up that weren't available before. I'd book something for your dates as backup and then when a discount becomes available, hop on and look.

I'd been looking for a standard or garden room with a passholder discount at POR ever since those discounts were released. I looked every day and what I wanted became available today.

They turned half the resort to villas, and that week is nuts at WL. People want to be there for the tree.

We booked WL in August of 2017..........for August 2018. Got a Standard room.........a month later in Sept availability was gone! To me the biggest reason is they took half of the lodge itself and made it DVC. 1/2 the rooms gone for regular vacationers.........now not gone.........but not available as a part of the WL. It almost feels like they're gonna eventually take the entire resort DVC

Was hoping for a discount when the summer discounts come out..........not going to happen now. I've kept the room because we love the WL..........but if we can get a discount for the Poly......

I’m surprised there are no vacancies. After reading some of these threads on here the last couple days I figured you could pick anywhere you wanted to stay with no problem since people are mad and not going to stay on property anymore...

Regular visitors here on the board are getting fed up with the constant price hikes, and now these ridiculous security checks, but this is only a small percentage of people that go to WDW. Most aren’t on a Disney board, unaware of what’s happening, or are first time visitors.

Have you checked Day-by-Day availability? It may be that only one night is unavailable. Or, because of revenue management, all your nights are individually available, but it won't let you book your stay arriving on a Sunday. Try looking more closely at the availability and see what is going on. You may be able to book separate nights and call reservations to link them all.

Agree. If I read your post right, that’s 60 points. From David’s that would be $1020. From the DIS rental forum, maybe $900 - $960.

Places like David’s act as a middleman to rent out DVC owner’s points if they won’t be using them. They’ll connect your request with someone who has points. As a PP said, though, availability may be an issue at this point. Check out http://dvcrentalstore.com/ and https://www.dvcrequest.com/
