Wilderness Lodge Adjoining Rooms?????

Does anyone know if WL has adjoining rooms????

Yes. Adjoining rooms are simply rooms that are next to or near each other. Most hotels have them.

Wilderness Lodge has connecting rooms, which is probably what you want. Keep in mind, connecting rooms are NOT guaranteed, even if that is stated on a confirmation. If there are no connecting rooms available when a party checks in, that party cannot be assigned to connecting rooms.

If a family exceeds the allowable occupancy for a room then they will gaurantee that you will have connecting rooms if that is what you tell them you need.

In other words, if you have 2 adults and 3 kids in your travel party you would not fit in one room so you must book 2 (value resorts for example). Because they will need to divide the children into 2 seperate rooms, each with an adult, they will give connecting rooms. If no connections are available then you could opt to be in rooms that are near each other but not connecting.

If you just want connecting rooms for grandparents or some extra space then they will not gaurantee the connection but they try to get the 2 rooms as close to each other as possible.

Actually that scenario is not Guaranteed either... The only time that connecting is guaranteed is if it is one adult traveling with multiple children. If you have more than one adult it is still only a request. As the other poster stated CRO will tell you it will happen and it may be on the confirmation, but it is still a request if there is more than one adult... Now with that said the room assigners will make you priority they don't want to split you up, but when you book your room you are just booking a space, the room is not actually assigned at that time, they can not guarantee anything because they don't know what is going to be available.

Yep.....husband and I had to sleep in separate rooms one year because all they could give us at check-in was adjoining. Not fun. Not a whole lot of consideration given to families of 5. But on the flip side---it pushed us to become DVC Members so we wouldn't have to split up ever again.

After thinking about it , it doesn't matter if we connect. We are a family of 5 and we want to stay at WL, but of course standard rooms sleep 4. My parents are gonna come too and said they will put one of my kids on their reservation! If their room isn't near mine, it's no biggie!!!
