Mornin everyone....
Kathy...I'm on the up-side of this thing now. Either I just got side-swiped by that dang virus or its very short-lived. I got home, unpacked a bit, took a very long, hot shower and went to bed (I wont go into the details of the virus--I'm betting everyone "gets" whats involved). I did sleep for about 14 hours straight though...now I feel pretty good. If thats any indicator Kathy....Peter should be doing well pretty soon, at least I hope he is.

Talk to everyone later.....

(btw....when does this "rocking back and forth like I'm still on the ship" go away? Anyone??)

Oh yeah....

Denise, don't think I haven't forgotten about your new GOAL!!!
We had a conversation about this folks and I'm hoping it was the drinks talking but Denise mentioned a new goal of 25,000 posts. (thought I forgot about that, didn't ya, dear??????).

I'm gonna need a new Dell......

Hey , 25,000 is very do-able.
There are others who are still posting 2 years after their cruise,

Bill, glad your on the up swing now!!!

Hi Everyone ... I see we're still missing a lot of Nana Heads, but it's so hard to come back and get right on the boards. Only us weirdos do that kind of stuff!

Hey guys, I just thought I would drop a note to you and let you know that I am feeling somewhat better today. We booked a room at the Residence Inn here in Cocoa Beach yesterday. They went out of their way to let us check in at 9:00 a.m. so that I could get to bed. I spent the entire day in bed yesterday, other than bathroom trips. I think the virus has finally run its course.

I know Tonya, and now Mutt, were also hit with the virus. But, I wonder if any other Wild Turkeys were hit. There were a lot of people in the infirmary when I was in there on Friday night hooked up to an IV. Boy, that made for a wonderful last night of the cruise.

Lisa and I will be packing up shortly to head back to Atlanta. Don't know if I am up for solid foods just yet, but I am definitely up for getting home!

JD99, when you say you re booked same time next year, are you referring to the 11/24/07 Eastern??? If so, I have a thread going for it already, please join us.

Add another sickie to the list. Peter got hit about midnight and is very ill!!! Nausea and stomach pain. Hope this is only a 24 hour bug?? Anyone on the upside yet?? If so, how long did it last???

Good Morning. Boy I hope everyone gets to feeling better. How is your cold Kathy? Steve and I are doing ok, so far! No bugs here. Don't know how the kids are doing. I will give them a call later.
Mutt - glad to read that you are feeling a bit better today. I'm glad we bumped into each other a couple of times and got to talk to you.

I was rockin' back and forth a bit last night in the shower and this monitor is moving a wee bit this morning. It's not too bad. If I think about it I get a bit of a sick feeling. So if you see any typeO's, it's because my fingers are falling off the keys! I really thought people were kidding me when they told me that would happen.

Jeff - Steve and I are going to book for next year also! Maybe we will bump into each other at the martini tasting! The date of the 11/07 cruise just happens to fall on my b'day again! In fact, for the next 6 years, my b'day will fall on one of the cruise days during that week. Maybe...

Bob - how may pictures do we send you? Some of ours didn't come out very good at all. I think I should have compensated for the back and forth, forth and back movement of my eyeballs! I'm looking forward to seeing some of Stephen's. After all, that new camera should shoot million dollar pictures!
It seems that everytime my dh took a picture of me he used the wide angle lense!
Lynn - hope you are feeling better soon. You have a doctor that is open on Sunday?
Will check in later to see if everyone made it home okay! Did anyone get to go to the Roy O suite and check it out? I forgot about that until last night!
Pat

Oh, one question...what is this fairy godmother thing? I heard you say it on the ship. Did I miss something again!?
Pat

My grandmother is not doing well so I am heading to the nursing home with my family to be with her. No Doctor's for me today. Talk to you when I can.

Good Morning All:

Mutt Im with you the whole stomach bug thing was a b***h. We spent the morning arguing with Budget about our rental car, drove to downtown Disney (not fun when sick), went to the airport, ate with Renee and Dave and then went to catch our flight. Got home to 28 degree weather. YUCK. But we are home now, somewhat healthy, went and got the dog (man was he happy to see us) and now were are OFFICALLY unpacked. So we have laundry to do this afternoon.

Bob, Mutt, and who ever else was sick, I am glad you are feeling better and I hope no one else gets it.

I am working on pictures as we speak and will post asap.

Love ya all and miss ya more.

Tonya, Trey & Hunter

Good Morning Nanas!!!!!

We're back... :sad2: We're seeing snow flurries outside and it's a whopping 21 degrees. Get me back to Castaway Cay NOW!!!! Our flight left on time at 8:15 pm and we were home by midnight. Fireman's wife (Lorna) and family were also on our flight.

I just want all of you to know how special this cruise was for Dave and me in that we met such great DISers. We have met many DISers over the past 7 cruisers, but none like you! It was great running into DISers all over the ship and throughout each day. Thanks again for making our cruise so special.

Luckily, we have not come down with the "bug". Sorry to hear how many of you have been sick. Hope Bob is feeling better as he and Lisa are traveling to Georgia.

We are busy doing laundry and sorting through our souvenirs. I made coffee for myself this morning only to find out that I had no milk to put in it. Coffee pot is now off and I'm hoping to go somewhere soon for my caffeine fix. Unfortunately, I can't get to deck 9 this morning.

I received a call at exactly 9 am yesterday from DVC. Dave and I are cruising on the 2007 DVC member cruise -- 10/21/07. We also booked a cruise with a fake date of January 12, 2008. We plan to move that cruise to the fall when the dates become available.

I am getting offline so that I can do more laundry and sort through all our "stuff".

Have a restful day everyone.

Jan

Jeff - sorry about the picture of Elizabeth and Stacey. I took that one! I tried to snap before someone walked in front of me. I should have waited until it was focused. The one of Emily came out the same way :guilty: I'll get that one up as soon as I can.

The group picture is when we were trying to get together for the group shot. Love the look on the face!
Pat

Hi everyone, Wow what a trip. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 We had a great time. We enjoyed meeting everyone!!! I am sorry I did not get to hear tiara Bob and the dreamboats. :rockband: My DD was very tired that night and I had to bring her back to the room.

We did so much this trip. I feel like I need a vacation from my vacation. The last cruise we spent more time relaxing.

MY youngest daughter caught the bug. She has been throwing up since 6:00 AM She also has a bad cold-poor thing. She is sleeping still. I too have a bad cold plus I feeling like I am rocking back and forth. I am debating about going to urgent care. My ear really hurts. I am sure flying did not help.

We did book again too. A fake date for 2008. We plan on going the last week in November 2008 or 1st week in December 2008. I will wait and see what the prices are like.

More later. I am off to lay down. I feel YUCKY!!!

Lorna

Good morning Nanas -- coming to you from the cold, snowy arctic of northern Illinois. :sad2:

It was such a great experience to meet all of you!!! We have also re-booked for the same cruise next year, so it sounds like we'll see some of you again soon! :thumbsup2

pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: to all of you who were hit by the virus. So far we're all o.k. here. We spoke with a family on the DCL bus en route to MCO who mentioned how many kids got sick in the Club on the last night. I guess Jessalyn knew what she was doing when she opted not to stay up there Friday night. ;) (I take back all the nasty thoughts! :rotfl: :rotfl: )

Our travels yesterday were quite smooth. We were waitlisted for an earlier flight to Chicago. Our bags went ahead without us, so there was no wait at the baggage claim once we finally arrived. :)

The only snag was waiting for the parking lot shuttle bus and clearing snow off the truck in the 17 degree weather. YUK!

Time to get to back to laundry. I'll post more later!

Cheri

JD99,
the thread is called. "we are better than leftovers"
I will bump it up so it will be easier to find. There are a few people there but only 3 of us who post regular , and since I was gone it slipped down the page. Looks like Pat will be there too.

Bob, glad your a little better now too. Peter is still down, but hopefully after some more sleep he will be done with it too.

Kathy

Kathy, I saw you with all the Disney pins in your hat. You mind if I take that idea? I'm gonna start collecting pis. I have 6 pins thus far, including a NASA pin. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Shoot! The trip's over already?!?! It just started two days ago (it seems). :furious: :furious:

See 'yall next year(?)

- Josh
