I understand completely. That is actually one of the things that has kept me from stepping out on my own. I have this great relationship with several clients, but I have this fear that when I step out, they will be like "Bob who?".jd99 said:Not much to report today. Bob, you will appreciate this. I have two relatively large clients who are in similar businesses (not really competitors, but...) and one is lots of fun to work with...the other not so much. When I got into this independent consulting business, I didnt' really want to work as much as I am right now..so I'm seriously toying with the idea of dumping one of them under the pretense of potential competitive conflicts. I have picked up several other projects and one long term client on top of my regular work to make this feasible. BUT it's so darned hard to turn down business. I feel like doing so would give me really bad karma and then when I find myself slow I'll never get it back. Irrational I know...but..
Oh well, life is good today. I am at one of my favorite clients for a close-out meeting to tell them how bad the IT structure is for one of their acquisitions. Should be a FUN meeting!
