Good Morning Turkeys & Nana Heads!

Just stopping by to say "Hi" before I stop obsessing over the DIS boards and move on to obsessing about packing & trip preparation. :rotfl:

After this afternoon's carnival, we don't have any plans for the weekend -- unless you call cooking :stir:, cleaning, laundry :laundy: , packing, eating popcorn:: , drinking :drinking1 , and watching TV :happytv: "plans."

OK -- now that we've talked about what we're most looking forward to on board, I'll throw this discussion topic out there: (Talk amongst yourselves!):
What are some of the actual on-board activities you plan to do?

In addition to the usual eating, drinking and relaxing & reading, I hope to get to the gym almost everyday (never made it there on our 3-day), spend time in the Rainforest, check out the wine and/or martini tasting, and possibly go to one of the entertainment classes -- desserts, napkin-folding, etc. Then again, I may never want to move from my lounge chair. :rotfl2:

Lynn, I don't think we've set any sort of time for dinner / get-together. If I remember right, Jeff & family arrive in the early evening. We arrive mid-afternoon and then will spend the afternoon glued to the TV for a football game. I'm thinking sometime after 6:00. . . If we can't all hook up for dinner, we can definitely get together for drinks/snacks, etc. I guess we better start figuring this out! A lot will also be dependent on the kids and how the travel day has gone up to that point.

Have a super-duper day everyone!

Cheri

but being a Navy man...didn't think a cruise was a vacation...hence the 1st time thing...
Laurie:

My dad spent 30 years in the Navy and always WANTED to go on a cruise. He said he wanted to finally be on a ship where he didn't have to work and someone was waiting on him! :lmao:

For those who have reserved spa services onboard, you might want to take a look at your reservations. There was a posting on the main board yesterday about the length of some services changing. One that we had scheduled had the time reduced by one third. So, just an FYI to re-evaluate whether or not you would still be interested in paying for the service.

Afternoon all:

Being this is my first cruise, I have a lot of things and that I am really looking forward to. However, my main one on the first day is...being in the terminal...meeting everyone before boarding the ship. I am really looking forward to that. :) But my list does go on.....from there of course is getting on the ship itself.....hearing our name being announced....I know I am going to tear up....so if anyone has the same boarding number and you see me just ignore me....Wally does... :rotfl2: Looking forward to the sail away party, the countdown, the horn...the dolphins...just cant wait....

I was ironing and I think I am going to start packing some things today. Then just make some dinner and chill the rest of the afternoon and evening.

Well going to my dad's tomorrow morning then my DS is spending the rest of his day finishing making my signs, I already told him this morning that he was grounded tomorrow until they get finished.....

Later
Denise

Wally will be on today.....I promise he took his harley out for a ride...even though its only like 45 out today.

Denise,
I guess we can forgive Wally for not posting sooner since he had such an important thing to do, like riding his Harley in the cold!! :crazy2:

we have a beautiful 70 degree day. :sunny:
DH an Minnie are napping, BOTH are laying on their backs and SORING!!! :rotfl2:
I need a tape recorder. Nobody would believe this unless they could see and hear them :rolleyes1

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

We still need a lot of posts, so lets get with it!!
You dont want me to get out the WHIP!!!! :lmao:

Kathy

Good afternoon bannana heads

I thought I better post so Kathy does not get her whip out :rotfl:

The thing I am looking forward to the most is just getting on the ship and meeting everyone and sailing away into sunst. I also can't wait to be on a nice white sandy beach :cool1: Of course the warm weather is always a plus too~! :sunny:

As far as what we will be doing on the ship......Sitting by the pool :bitelip: Last time we were on a holiday sailing we went to the gingerbread house making. That was fun for the kids. We will most likely do that again. Also would like to play bingo a couple of times. We will try to go to the kite making. My DD would like to go to the tea with Wendy. Has any one gone to that before? I have read it is not that great. Wines tasting sounds good too! Oh so much to choose from-What shall I do?

We are having a big party here tomorrow. I must go now to clean the house and do some laundry :laundy:

I will check in later.

Lorna :firefight

3 weeks to go!!!! :jumping2: :jumping2:
Hoping to hear from Dream boat today :bitelip:

Gee ... what a surprise! Wendy, Cheri and Shell will all be at the martini tasting! Good grief! Our men are in for it that day! :lmao:

Hi my lady friends,or should I say my wife's friends. Sorry you were all on and I was not able to get on this site last night. I took my Harley for a short ride today ...it was cold, :moped: but there is nothing better than the wind soaring through your hair and being a free spirit. I keep my hair short, so there are no bad hair days. :) I guess, I should be honored with my two new titles.....DREAMBOAT, and BIGBOY. You all seem to be a great group of ladies, and I cant wait to meet Shell, and the rest of you ladies in person in a few weeks. :  Wally :smokin:

DH and I did the Martini and Tequila tasting last year. Be warned, the Martini tasting is OK. I repeat OK. The martini's are small (lush husband) and there is only one true martini. 4 of them are faux-tini's and one looked like pepto in a glass. (I didn't try that one) The tequila tasting is good, but they start you out with WELL tequila and by the time you get the Patron, your taste buds are dead. The strawberry marg. was great. But once again you get a small glass. I know that you all want to try it but I wanted to let you know what you had in store. I'm not complaining, I had a great time, they give the history of the drinks etc, and after the tequila tasting I in was need of bread products (was tanked, cheap date). DH will be trying the Beer tasting this time, but I will spend my time on deck waiting for a server to come and serve me.

Off to eat SUSHI, the soccer season is over on Wednesday and I don't have to work again until March, at least on soccer.

Happy Saturday. Have a great day.

Linda tell Dimples that the Harry Godmother has been shopping.

HI Wally - Nice to hear from you!! I guess you live in a State where you don't have to wear a helmet when riding? Both DH and I have our motorcycle licenses but up here you have to wear a helmet all the time. There have been some times in the summer when it would have been nice to not have to wear one - but those bugs can be killer LOL :teeth:

We went and got DSs hair cut this morning - he looks pretty cute if I do say so myself. DH is back from Vegas. He had a good time but his feet are really tired from walking around so much. The PBR (prof. Bull Riding) Championships where on in Vegas while he was there so he got himself a belt buckle, toque (natch!) and got DS and I t-shirts. We love PBR and I think my shirt is great!! He got to meet a few of the ridings as well - lucky dog!! Some of those guys just make me drool.

We also stopped by a formal wear place today and it just so happens they were having a warehouse sale, so we managed to get DS a bow-tie, tux shirt and buttons and cufflinks. Thank goodness the lady was helping us - I had no idea you had to buy buttons (who ever heard of a shirt without buttons???) Anyway - as you might have guessed we do not attend many black-tie affairs so it should be interesting to see the clan all gussied-up pirate:

I am looking forward to what everyone has said and in addition I can't wait for the warm weather. I can't tell you how nice it is to just walk around in shorts and sandals in December!!!!!!!!!!!! Those of you from the North will understand. I also am looking forward to so really nice pics of the family. We do not have any 'formal' family shots - most of our pics have either DH or myself and DS in them and we have none with us dressed up, so I am looking forward to that. In fact, I am starting to worry a bit about the $$ we may spend and am second guessing our couples massage cabin - it is REALLY expensive and I keep thinking of all the other stuff we could buy with the $$. The cost is $475 and the more I think about it the more I wonder whether we would be better off to do the rainforest/rasul or something else. We could buy many :drinking1 in the Club for that amount of $$ and while I really want something just for DH and I (and man do we need some 1:1 time) I don't want to be thinking about the cost instead of enjoying the treatment.

Anyway - lots to think about as we inch closer to the big day. :hourglass
