Good Morning!!
DH has an MRI at 6:10 this morning so I had to get to work an HOUR earlier than ususal.... (blech) :surfweb:
By the end of the day I will be lucky if I can spell my own name!

DH and I made our packing list a few weeks ago, and have a pile of stuff on our spare room bed that we know we need to bring, and won't need between now and then. DH wants to get out our suitcases this weekend and air them out, and febreeze them.
After almost 10 years of being married to me, he is transforming into a plan-ahead packer! When he went to California in April he actually asked if we could "test" pack a few weeks before the trip, to make sure that everything he needed would fit into his carry on. :woohoo:

Tomorrow we are meeting DH's parents to go shopping. (long story short, we can save 30% off even sale prices at most of the mens shops in the outlet mall if we go with her... I guess its worth it...maybe... :) )

Have a great day!!

good morning everyone,
Finally my internet service is up and running early this morning. :yay:

Athene, I think your DH has some talent there. I love the bright colors. :thumbsup2

We have been breaking heat records for this time of the year the past 3 days and will continue through the weekend. It has been in the low 90's but with high humidity which makes it seem like 98 or so. Yesterday was horrible outside.
Today I have one quick trip to the bank this morning and Minnie's walk, then I am staying in for the day!!!
Wish I could send some of the :sunny: to you guys who have the cold right now!!!

I did manage to buy my magnetic sheets yesterday for my door signs. I plan on working on them today while I am in the house for the day.

Enjoy your Friday everyone, the weekend is almost here. :woohoo:

Kathy

Good Morning All    ,
Today is another nasty rainy day here in NY. Well it was another great night with DS :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: !! We are 2 for 2!!! Today I am off to go food shopping and then my friend is coming over with her twin boys for lunch!! This weekend we are going to my in-laws tomrrow for DH's Uncle's Birthday and Sunday DH is finishing his painting. What is everyone's plans for the weekend?? Talk to you later!!

Good Morning, All!

Bright shiny morning here, NOT! Deluge.

Nevamind. It's FRIDAY! One of my team leaders is taking us out to lunch at a very nice place. We work like heck for him, but he rewards us too. It's a DEAL!.

This weekend.

Empty spare bedroom for next weekend's guest. (we had started collecting cruise stuff in there.)

Decide on flippers from National Geographic.

TWO circle journals to do. My favorite things, and most magical moments.

Work on my album for DL & Vegas.

Yardwork - if bulbs come - stick them in.

Plan meals from now til vacation - no, actually now til Christmas. Groceries. well, I could go ahead and plan til marathon and be done with it. . .

That's probably MORE than enough!

Happy Day, All!

You don't want to see my list. I am a chronic overpacker...even when I travel on business..which I do a lot...i'm alway worried that I might spill coffee on a pair of pants so I bring an extra...Shirts..I want a choice. I don't want to have to wear everything I bring...I may not be in the mood! :rotfl: Shoes. Oh boy. Shoes I can never coordinate things so I only have to bring a couple pairs. On the cruise, it's sneakers for working out, flip flops for the beach and pool, dress shoes for formal night, loafers for other dinner nights..and maybe boat shoes coz I'm on a boat! :rotfl2:

Anyway..you get the picture. I always b-itch and moan at my family for overpacking...since I carry the suitcases..but I'm just as bad as the ladies in the family..if not worse!
Okay Jeff, even if this is the way you pack, you never admit it. The comment about the shoes is getting real close to you losing your "man card"! :smooth:

Good morning!

We have a sunny, but cold & frosty morn here so far. Kathy send some of that heat here -- by the time it arrives it'll be about 80 and perfect! :thumbsup2 Can't complain too much -- I'll go from back room, into vehicle in garage and then a few steps from parking lot into office, so it's not like the cold will actually get to me.

I'm going into work today while DH stays home. He has to go renew his drivers license since his b-day is on the 24th.

Tomorrow we go to my sister's house for my nephew's 2nd b-day. Other than that, not much planned for the weekend.

Better get moving! I'll talk to you later!

LOL I know Bob. It's funny because when we go someplace like Hawaii or some other tropical place, I'm good wiith packing your method - it's shorts, Hawaiian shirts and flip flops. that's it. This cruise stuff has thrown me off.

Hey Everyone! - Did ya miss me??? How about a few bananas for the count

Well I'm starting to feel a little more normal. Things are quieting down just a bit so I've been reading up on our posts.

Athene - wow...all that with rice krispy treats, hu? Tell DH I'm impressed.

Lynn - he is so adorable..can't wait to meet him in person.

Bill...I had to laugh...no matter where we go DH always has that extra pair of underwear and socks...just in case.

Jeff...hmmm...I may pack less shoes than you :)

Bob...loved your list...that's about how DH does it too.

After reading everyone's lists I'm starting to realize that I best get busy doing some stuff for this cruise. I haven't even changed over our closets yet here in NJ because the weather has been so crazy...hot one day...cold the next. I am tackling that project next week and I plan on putting our outfits right into the suitcases. Of course that's the plan, we'll see what really happens.

I need some suggestions for gift baskets for DD(11-as of next week!) and DS(almost 8). I haven't done this before and I would really like to surprise them. I'm thinking of surprised DH too - guys, how about some ideas?

My weekend plans...dinner tonight with good friends and a garage sale tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a great day!

How 'bout some underwear and socks so he doesn't have to buy them on the ship? :rotfl2:

HI EVERYONE :wave2:
Boy, it seems like forever since I visited last. Sure hope I was missed :goodvibes
Lynn, I got a job also! I'm going in at 2 p.m. each day to work the extended hour day for a private school. I did teach at a private school before Cullen was born and I chose to stay home with him for Esther and Stephen. The school I'm going to work at is allowing me to take Cullen and Laura with me. There is a 2 year waiting list at this school and by me working there we will be able to get Cullen in for pre-school :cheer2: We are VERY excited about that. This will give Cullen the opportunity to develop his social skills. Being with Nana all day doesn't afford him the experience of interacting with other children. In other words...HE IS SPOILED! Not to the rotten stage yet, but he's close! ;)

I don't have a list yet. In fact, I'm not even ready to go yet! I am still trying to take off that extra 10-15 pounds...So, I'm sorry guys, the cruise has to be cancelled for at least another month. :confused3

Gotta go have some skin cancer frozen off my face! Lucky me! I'll check in later.
I start my new job working with all the pre-K4's on Monday! :bounce: I'm really looking forward to it.
Pat

Hello again,

Just checking in to say hello. I think I'm going to start my packing list and getting things ready next week. My house is completely in shambles right now. But my floors are done and they look great. But about half of our house (books, furniture, junk) are shoved into two small rooms. I'm trying to get it reorganized to where it belongs and am babysitting my friends 2 yo. He's a wild one too. So I'm not getting much done. Our computer was off for 3 days straight. It's been a long time since I've gone that long without one. Well, I should go see what the little monster is into. :scared: I really love the little guy.

:wave2: afternoon all:

Well not much going on here. Just got home from work a short time ago.
I finally figured out what is going on with Jack's paws. Its not so much that the paw pad is split, I think he has allergies and has been excesively licking them, has them red, swollen and last night bleeding. So I gave him some benadryl, alcoholed and neosporin them. Today I stopped and got some calamine lotion. Going to try that for the itchy feeling. After I do this I put socks on his paws. He look so darn funny. He just lays there with his paws streched out in front of him looking at them.... :rotfl: Then he pulls them off.

Well I should do some cleaning around here....

My weekend plans....saturday 8-12 working..yuk  then shopping for a suit for Wally.
Sunday, my dad is taking us (and my two sisters and husbands) out for dinner. My Mother's birthday is 10-23 and this is her 10 yr. anniversary since she has passed away. So he want's to take us all out for her birthday. So it will be nice.

Well I will be back later

Well got alot done and boy am I poop.

I laughed when I read this, I'm surprised mom didn't tell you guys the story.

One day my mom was working around the house, got tired, flopped onto the couch, and said "Boy am I pooped." My sister came up to her with a look of concern and said, "Where mommy, in your pants?" It was so funny.

Here's my packing list:

Take care of everything so my lovely queen doesn't have to lift a finger.

Hello All,

Just dropping a note to let you know that Andy & I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. I've been engrossed in work and jury duty for the past 4 weeks with no time to do anything. And of course we're all sick this week with nasty colds. Better to get it over with before we go on vacation!!! 5 weeks to go, can't wait!!!! :cool1:

Too much to catch up on to go back and read all of the posts. I hope all of you are doing well and have a wonderful weekend!

Hi all:

Haven't posted in a long while-took forever to catch up on all the days I have missed reading. My mom again is in the hospital-she was out only 2 weeks and became delerious with a fever again-now diag. with colitis...

Josh (joelidol) is so busy with his very hard 11th grade classes :teacher: he doesn't have time to do anything any more but homework-he said to tell everyone HI.

Is anyone else getting so LOST with LOST they want to stop watching it!!!

Jaimie: Loved project runway-my DD loved Jeffrey from the get go.....

Kathy: Who is your internet provider??? Sounds like they should pay you money to stay with them instead of you paying them!!! :badpc:

Well, off to the hospital to visit mom...have a great day.....

Okie   :cheer2:

Pat, hope all goes well with your freezing!

Guys, I'd be interested in your 'guy basket' ideas too. So far, i have paperback thrillers, a water camera, a lime and Coronas. Dithering over packable flippers for snorkleing. beyond that . . . how much does a basket hold, anyway???

It's dark, rainy and 47 degrees. Calgon TAKE ME AWAY!

Hey Banana Heads

Danielle and Okie ... good to hear from you both! Steve, thanks for gracing us with your presence! :lmao: And should we assume that Esther was reading over your shoulder when you wrote that?! :rotfl2:

Hope youze guyz -- y'all -- everyone -- got my e-mail today with the updated cruisemate list. Like the map on the last page?! I thought it was pretty cool! :thumbsup2

Catch ya later

I agree. Esther had to be reading over his shoulder, because the only time any man is going to say that is when his wife is in direct earshot. Otherwise it would be, "Yeah, she better pack my clothes or I'll have to set her straight!". :stir:
