Sorry to hear that you are canceling the cruise, Melanie. But, I certainly understand why you are doing that.

As for a name/theme for us 11/25ers, my disclaimer is: I DO NOT have any creative talent whatsoever -- no door signs, etc. But, I did come up with a name and I welcome all ROFLOLs. LOTSOMAGIC - Left Over Turkeys Sailing on the Magic. That's my contribution -- and the only one I'll contribute for a name/acronym.

Lampy -- I'm not getting good airfares out of Detroit yet. Getting high $200/low $300 range. I'll wait a few more months and watch for sales. We are flying out of Detroit on Friday, 11/24 and returning on 12/2.

We're under the nine month window now. Can't wait.

We flew Air tras airways out of Indy last year and those prices won't be out 'till April....non stops right now are 249.00 I expect to see 180's next month....IT IS cheaper to fly Thursday!! FYI

I hope everyone had a good weekend!
We were super busy. We had a winter youth weekend at our church and we had youth groups from Boston and upstate New York come and stay.
It was a lot of fun, but we are very tired today!

DH got me a new "disney box" so I can start putting aside things that we don't need between now and then for our trip!!

Hi Feeny and everyone,
We had a very busy weekend too. We spent it painting the inside of our new house. we want to get it all done before we move towards the end of the month. We still have lots to do!!
We will really be ready for the cruise when it gets here!!!
The weather was perfect here in Florida this weekend. We are suppose to hit 80 today!!! That's cruising weather, makes me ready to go.
Anyone still having cold and snow out there????

Wadda ya mean 'anyone have cold'!!!!!!!!!!!

We've been in the freezer since about the 2nd week of Feb. Earlier in the winter it was managable but lately it's been minus 20 in the mornings! Man, that's bitter. We're supposed to warm up to plus 10 by the weekend though, which is great! Generally we're around the freezing mark to about minus 5 at this time of year. I'm definately looking forward to the spring though! The nice thing is it's staying light out later now and is lighter in the mornings. In the dead of winter going into work in the dark and coming home in the dark gets real old real fast! Oh well...another excuse to look forward to our trip.

Well we had a little snow here yesterday...only about an inch or so...just enough to let you know that winter is still here. Anyway....these weekends just fly by.

Ok now for some good news.....my niece and her family are back on for the cruise....so we are now officially back up to 13....I'm thrilled that they are coming....

O.K. all the cat is scratching it's way out of the bag......we are having some changes here at work and it looks like my "partner" has a Hawiian trip booked the week before x-mas and there is NO WAY we can both be off the same time......looks like the Lampy family will be joining you all on this sailing........CAN YOU HANDLE IT?

Wow how exciting! I just got back, and was catching up on the pages while I was gone. I remember I loved reading about the infamous Turkey Day Cruise 2005 right before ours, and how there would be nothing left for us on the ship! LOL Now we will be able to meet the famous Lampy in person. How fun will our cruise be now!??

Pics and a mini trip report coming up soon...I am still recovering from jet lag. LOL

Hope you are having a great trip!! I'd love to see photos and a trip report. We are planning on going to Tokyo Disneyland in 2008 and it's hard to find planning information. Did you go through a Travel Agent??

Yes, it is really hard finding any planning information...No, I did not go through a travel agent for the Disney part because I figured I knew more about it than they would LOL! That, and DH was going on business, and most of the arrangements were already made. I just took 2/3 days out for us to go to Disneyland. If you have any questions, please feel free. I learned alot!

WOW!! I'm so happy for you that your niece and her family are getting to come along again. It is always such a terrible feeling when someone has to cancel. We have had this happen to us too. You still have a good time, but it's just not the same as having your family with you.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you in just a few short months!

I had to dig out my shorts today. Since we have been around 80 each day my jeans are just to hot!! I know those of you in the cold wanted to hear that!! Ha! Ha!

Well I'm off to spend the day packing for the move, I will just pretend that I am packing for the cruise, only on a bigger scale.

It's not TOO bad here...not compared with what Dutch's Mommy has goin' on. We're in the 40s during the day but I'm very excited because they're calling for us to see 70 again by Saturday. Ah...bring out the flip flops! I might have to get those drink cups and blender out and pretend I'm onboard.

We're also doing some painting here. We have an old Victorian style house (1894) and I just finished stripping some ug-leee wall paper off DD's room. A nice lavender that will match Tink and Hello Kitty is the color. Next, on to the dining room. The work never ends with an old lady like this one. I think I got some dust in my eye under my contact and scratched my cornea so I'm very uncomfortable in bright light which is why I'm holed up in the computer room so I don't go insane.

Denise - glad the rest of your group is back on the boat. They are also back on "The List."

Less than 2 weeks until Spring! My daffodils and white tulips (my fave) are poking up by about 1 inch. It really will come!!!!

Well Kathy we are supposed to hit 80 this weekend too My DS is already asking when we can take out his inflatable waterslide, but with all the work going on at the house I am not ready to try and find a spot for that in the yard.

Denise , glad your family is back in we are trying to talk my mom and dad into joining us. My DS was going to come but my DN will be starting high school and she did not want to take her out for the week.

Michelle - We cannot wait to see the pics from your trip I bet it was fantastic.

WELCOME BACK!!! Hope you had a great trip!!

For the days you were at Disney, did you stay at one of the onsite hotels? If not, where did you stay and did you find transportation easy. We wanted to stay on-site, but we also wanted to see the city and Mt. Fuji and none of the tour groups I could find pick-up from Disney hotels. So I'm looking for a family friendly hotel in the city near one of the stations. Then we'll probably switch to a Disney hotel for the end of the trip.

How was the weather this time of year?? Was the language barrier an issue?? Did your kids enjoy themselves??

My son is really into the Japanese culture and Japanese anime right now and has been dreaming of going to Japan, but the soonest we can go is 2008 (unless I win the lottery) because of the exchange rate. Did you find it expensive while you were there??

Sorry for all the questions and I really look forward to your trip report. DisneySea looks like a fantastic themepark!!

Well Kathy, I am really sad to hear that you had to pull thoes shorts out....but I do have to confess, if I was living in Florida, I would most likely be rubbing it in also.
I just can't belive that we are down to 8 months 2 weeks...yoohoo...

I might be rubbing it in now about getting to wear shorts but this summer i will
be complaining it is too HOT!!!! I hate the humidity here in the summer. Winters are fantastic.
By the way, for anybody interested, it is suppose to hit 80 again today!

Well I am dreaming of laying back on deck 4 in the comfy lounge chairs, people cleaning my room,making my bed, cooking my food and washing my dishes, Then I come to my senses and realize I am waist high in cardboard boxes, packing materials strung all over everywhere, dishes stacked in the sink, laundry needs to be done, since I packed all but 2 towels each I really need to keep up with it or no showers! And I broke 2 fingernails!!!

I am so ready for a cruise!!!
