Wii Games

Just thinking, if I buy games at Walmart will these work over here in the uk, or are these games NTSC and not PAL combatible.

wii games from the usa or japan will not work on the pal (uk) versions.

I asked here in the uk and was told the same thing that the wii games brought from any where outside the uk will not work.

Surely theres better things to do over there !

The answer to your question is yes....sort of....you will need to buy a 2:1 stepdown transformer, or a USA Wii Powerpack, to handle the 110V mains supply. The you will have to use the component video out and run it at 480P, to get around the PAL problem on other outputs. The TV you want to run it on will obviously have to have component video inputs.


With regards to the US games working on UK machines, the quick answer as has already been provided is "no".....but the real answer is "No...unless you have a mod chip fitted, in which case most will work."
