We will be staying at Boardwalk Villas . . . . Is there free wifi in the room . . . . If not how much is it a day? Thanks:confused3

It's free but I'm not sure how well it will work. We stayed at both BLT and BCV a few weeks ago and the wi-fi was constantly freezing. We'd have to restart our phones and/or turn wi-fi off then on again to get it to work and then usually only for a few minutes. I was at OKW last year when wi-fi first became available at the resorts and was pretty happ

There is free wifi in all disney resorts. Not only in the room but also in common areas...

It is free to members and their guests. I don't believe it is free to those (non members) renting from DVC.

It's free to everyone. I was there in late April/early May, it worked pretty well for me on my laptop. My friend with a tablet had a hard time.

Its free and works horribly, wish they had stayed with wired.

Yes to the previous posters. I just came back from being at BWV for a couple of weeks. I had all sorts of trouble with my tablet and my Macbook didn't have any better luck. My devices would constantly show that I was connected, but they were unable to access the internet. I really hope Disney fixes the problem, because it seems unusable at this point. When I really needed to connect, I had to use cellular 4g on my tablet.

And that wasn't great either, but at least it was tolerable and mostly reliable.

Agree. Strongly agree.

Internet access is just like the tv channel selections, they are not going to make it appealing, they want everyone out of the room spending money.

It was awful at kidani two weeks ago. I could only use my iPad one morning, and even then it was in and out.

I stayed at Old Key West  the end of April and I thought the WiFi connection was very good :dance3:

Just returned from BWV. Wifi is available in all rooms at the resorts now to any guests without charge. It generally has three speeds depending on time of day you use it: slow, very slow, and not even worth trying.. The "suits"who decided to put this junky system in to replace the wired system that actually worked should not just be fired, they should be summarily executed.

I'm at OKW now and have no problems. Great connection, in Jan. I was staying at SSR and the connection was great there also. :surfweb:

I think it must depend on your location there. We were at OKW two weeks ago and my connection was HORRIBLE. Like Sammie, I really miss the old wired connections. Used to just hook up my travel router and I had a decent, secured connection. Hate this new system.

We would be out of the room much quicker if it didn't take so long to check our email before we head out for the day!

The internet is not great but the tv is pretty good now. They are using Directv and have all of the channels that we have at home. Now this is at BLT so i am assuming they other DVCs are the same.

Has anyone tried the wifi at the Wilderness Lodge and the Beach Club?
I'm happy it is now free, but it stinks that it isn't working very well at a lot of resorts.
