why you should photo your kids

We were shopping at DTD and we lost DD. they asked me what she was wearing and I could'nt remember. Which was really sad because I was talking about how her shirt matched DS and she was wearing the same color shorts as her Daddy. But in the panic my mind went blank.

I am so sorry you lost her. I hate that feeling. We lost our son once because he wanted to look at the McD vendor. I was furious and afraid.

Taking a picture every morning with the digital would be a good idea. And habit forming.

That happened to me too. I lost DD on my last trip for a short time and I had to ask my ds what she was wearing. Mind you DS is only 4! He said the shirt with the sparklies on it Momma and then i remembered.

WOW, i am sorry this happened to you. Thanks for the advice, i would have never thought to photograph DD in the AM with the digital. Thanks again!

On our last trip we lost DD5 while in AK at the bone yard/dino dig. CM's kept insisting that kids get lost in there all the time b/c it was so big and kept assuring me the CM at the attraction exit WOULD NEVER let a child out without their parent. My gut just told me that she snuck out though. We (myself, DH, DS12, and DD9, plus CM's) all searched for that child with no luck. Luckily I had a recent picture handy when a CM asked for it. That's when DH and I panicked. DH exited the attraction and within a few moments found DD OUTSIDE THE ATTRACTION just looking around checking stuff out. So much for the CM's not letting a child exit a play area alone, huh?

Lessons learned....
Post one adult near the exit of play areas.
Keep recent pictures of your kids with you at all times.
Don't trust that CM's won't let your kids sneak out of a play area without you.
