Why you are in love with OKW?

We purchased our DVC last fall. We toured onsite properties, and although we really love BC/BCV I was most impressed with OKW. It just has so much going for it if you really want a vacation home resort community.

I think they should drop the "Old" off of the name because it gives those that have never seen it, the wrong impression. LOL

OKW is beautiful, very well maintained, and very Resort feeling.
Although we had a contract in play for BCV we immediately called our guide and waitlisted for an OKW add-on after seeing how beautiful it was.

I really don't think you can go wrong with any DVC resort, as they are all top notch.

After sampling almost all the WDW resorts, the OKW is still my 16-year-old's resort of choice. And I can't pass up an opportunity to plug one of his articles.

You Don't Have to Be Old to Love the Old Key West

When staying at OKW you feel like you are amongst freinds. Everyone is friendly and enjoyable to be around. You dont always find this at a hotel. The peace and quiet of the resort is unbeatable. We always get the greatest night's sleep since you dont hear the sounds of feet out in a hallway, traffic, no lights shining in your window, doors slamming, and I could go on. Once you stay at OKW you will be hooked.

Having been an owner at OKW since '94, I'd have to agree with all the above. Though not all buildings have elevators, I like the separate outside entrances (as opposed to a hallway at some others) and the feeling that everyone else at the resort is probably a member. It makes me smile when I get on the bus ... just knowing I'm part of an exclusive club that has a real interest in the resort and not with people who could care less about anyone but themselves.
