Why why why? Potential split stay question....

I'm trying to book a room on the room only discount for 3/24-4/2 at the poly, preferably in a villa. There is availability for 3/24-3/25 and 3/25-4/2, but not for the two combined in a single stay. This makes zero sense to me. How much of a pain would it be to do a split stay at the same resort? Is there a way if I call to connect the two reservations in the system so I potentially would not have to move?

Or are the Disney gods just telling me it's finally time to try POFQ, which is the other resort we are debating?

It may be the same type villa is not available for the whole stay. If you do a split stay at the same resort (which I have done) there is the chance you would have to switch rooms or villas. Even having the reservations connected is no guarantee of keeping the same villa. And if that happens, you could be roomless between check out and check in time.

No it's the same category. The same thing holds true for a regular room as well in terms of availability. For both I can book any combination of all 9 nights as a split in the same room category and same side of resort, but I can't book the nights all together on one reservation. It's bizarre.

Try calling instead?

It likely has to do with how inventory is transferred from DVC to CRO. They may technically be different inventory units.

I ended up contacting a travel agency and getting an even better deal on a regular poly room.
