Why the "Mickey Mouse" on the buses?

I know, I know - because it's WDW, silly...but seriously, we've noticed over the last couple of weeks, some of the WDWBuses have Mickey Mouse written on the electronic display boards on the front..

Just curious..and I keep forgetting to ask a CM!! LOL!

I'm guessing, but it may be a cute Disney way of saying "Out of Service" for that bus, "Driver in Training" or "Charter" for a private tour type bus.

sometime the mickey mouse buses are rainforest cafe buses after animal kingdom closes hope this helps

There are also buses that transport some CM's to the park or resort they work at. I've seen them say VIP Cast Member or Mickey Mouse on the sign. It's just so that Guests aren't expecting them to be available to go to a park/resort.

"Mickey Mouse" is just a cute fun way to replace the old "Special" on the sign. It basically means the bus is out of service, drop off only, and not going anywhere.

They did exist at one point in time... which is actually where I got my nickname from.

Thanks for asking this, as I was wondering, too! I saw the "Mickey Mouse" buses and wondered where they were going! I thought it was cute to put Mickey's name up in the sign.
