Why Stitch?

Skippy is still in the Stitch preshow (with the intergalactic "cop").

But, he no longer gets "toasted" to a "healthy glow".

I know but he just "isn't skippy" without AE

I like Stitch. I think he's a great character. Even though I'm a traditionalist and love Mickey, I actually didn't mind waking up to Stitch. Mickey's voice is still on there by the way. I did not care for the Stitch ride. I thought it was really dull for a new attraction. I think a lot of people are just sick of Disney shoving Stitch down their throats. He's everywhere. I really don't remember when they have pushed a character so hard in the past.?.? Can anyone else remember them pushing a character like they've pushed Stitch? :faint:

I'll answer it. For me it was the awful smelling burp. I just couldn't do that again.

yeah, they did uplist stitch more than any other disney character. they treat him as one of the original disney characters (mickey, minnie, pluto). I even noticed that on the new 06 mickey ears, the characters were:

MICKEY (of course)
GOOFY (no problem)
DONALD (yup)
and
STITCH (???)

dont get me wrong, i love the little blue guy, but sometimes its just to much. Stitch is a great character, but you can have to much of a good thing.

I liked Stitch, but loved Alien Encounter, it was the only 'adult' attraction in MK, I felt. Stitch is cute and I would ride it again, but it is the same type of ride as AE after you have done it a few times you know what to expect. Those type of rides just don't have the "replay" factor. I hear alot of people complain about it and I'm just hoping it will stick around for quite a while, at least until our next Oct trip. Stitch (or stinch as my dad calls him) is dad's favorite charector, so I can't wait for him to do SGE.

All I know is what I see through the empirical evidence of observing my own children. They love watching Lilo and Stitch on TV, but think the ride is "lame". They are 8 and 6, which would seem to be a prime age group for the attraction. We were at MK this week and the kids didn't even want to waste tiem with it. I don't think its because they are picking up negative vibes from me or DW either; we didn't poor-mouth the ride after we rode it on our last visit
