I am ashamed to admit that I don't think we've ever once really wandered through the Canada pavilion at Epcot. That said, we therefore have never made it to Le Cellier--there seem to be TONS of people on these boards who love that place. What makes it so special? Is it a good choice for kids 6 and 4? I'm considering that as a possible TS meal next trip.

The steaks are a very good quality and cooked the way you like it. The cheese soup is an excellent starter, as is the cheese plate.

I think it's reasonably priced considering the quality of the food. There are tons of families in there with small kids so I wouldn't hesitate to bring your little ones.

We had our first meal here last August. We have an ADR for our trip this July. The food was excellent, the service was very good, and it was a welcomed break from the heat. They even allowed me to pull my stroller right up the the table (we were in a corner).
Also, on all of my trips to Epcot, I'd never really taken the time to check out the Canadian pavilion. The waterfall and buildings are beautiful.

Because the food is quite good! If you like steaks, you will love LeCellier.... We've gone with our kids since they were quite young.... We have three dinners planned there for our next vacation... Why break a good thing LOL....

I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Also, I had a Torontopolitan or two, and found it to be a tasty drink.

we ate there for the first time this trip and really liked it! It was a great place to relax, cool off, and have a great meal. The kids loved the breadsticks, food was great, and the kid's Moose dessert was a huge hit! They didn't really like the S'Mores (after the yummy ones at 50's Prime Time).

I found the atmosphere a little dark and crowded, but the food was more than good enough to make up for it. We'll be back in September!

I continue to go back because every time I have gone the service has been nothing but excellent. They have a maple glazed filet and it is soooo good. It is my favorite and an excellent deal when using the dining plan. We will be eatting there twice on our next trip. They also have ice wine which is my favorite too.

Ate at Le Cellier Feb. 2006. The food was exceptional, as was the service and the atmosphere. To be fair it wasn't that crowded in Feb. When WDW has free dining plan, it gets very crowded and service is reduced. It's like having dinner on a holiday.... impossibly crowded. Therefore, the experience may not be as great as when less crowded. :thumbsup2

It is absolutely one of our favorites!! My boys loved this place and we just ate there for the first time last October. I'm not sure why it was missed in all of our past trips but it was great. The service...the food was mouthwatering....all a 10 on our scale!! :) We also saved 20% on our DDE card so that made it all the better. (that card was our best Disney investment yet other than our DVC...:) )

I did see a LOT of folks turned away without a ADR in October so if you are interested...plan ahead. Have a great time!!

good day
Esmerelda :)

I guess I have to be the downer here. We ate there in Jan. after hearing all of these rave reviews. I honestly have to say we were quite dissappointed. Our steaks were grisly and really just medi-ocre. Maybe we just caught them on an off day. But, we won't go back.

I like Le Cellier but honestly I think it's so popular because it is the least exotic restuarant over in World Showcase. Not everyone likes all the options at the other country's restuarants.

You have Mexico, Norway, China, Japan, Germany, America (no sit down restuarant) Itlay (allright so Italian might be on the list of what Americans think is normal), Morroco, France, and the UK (yes English food can be exotic or at least a little strange).

But then there is Canada...Le Cellier has cheese soup, steak, chicken, fish...it has food like any other nice American steakhouse chain restaurant with a little nicer atmosphere.

Don't get me wrong, I think Le Cellier has great food. But I think it might be at the top of everyone's list because it can satisfy even the pickiest and least adventurous of eaters in a "world" of exotic cuisine. Although if some of those picky eaters would look past the names they would find options like Lemon Chicken in Morocco and Macaroni and Cheese in France.

Another downer here.

We didn't think it lived up to the hype.

We are real steak lovers & while it was OK.... it was "OK". We enjoy other places on property better.

My DH and I love that place! The filet mignon is very good as is the cheese soup with breadsticks! Our server was the nicest woman! My husband especially loved the chocolate martini!

Sorry to say that we are another downer here...after hearing so much about the wonderful steaks, we were really let down. Our filets were very fatty and chewy. We also didn't understand the hype about the breadsticks; they are breadsticks (even the pretzel ones are just pretzels), nothing more. We won't be going back anytime soon.

We like it because after stumbling around in the blazing sunshine all day at Epcot, it's a cook, dark, little place that happens to have pretty decent food.

Of course, I could eat a raw moose after spending all day at Disneyworld. You work up such an appetite! I daresay that WDW food anywhere else wouldn't taste quite as good.

Thank you for all the comments. I think it's worth checking out. We usually go "left" around the WS so by the time we get to Canada the kids have already had something to eat and are petered out enough to head back to the hotel.

Any of you who've had dinner at Le Cellier also try Flying Fish? I know that that is primarily a seafood place, but I've read a lot of good reviews on here about their strip steak. If you had to choose one or the other (ignoring the difference in price between the two) which restaurant would you pick? I've heard a lot of their steak being better than Yachtsman and Le Cellier's.
