Why no rooms at CSR early June?

We are considering a trip June 4 - 11 ish. There are no rooms available at Coronado. Anyone have insight?

1. Ongoing refurbishment.

2. There is a good-sized business conference from June 4-7 at CSR. Many rooms are blocked for attendees.

As part of the Sun & Fun package, as late as last week, I was able to book a room at CSR for really cheap, compared to the other deals in that same offer. Didn't realize it was still under refurbishment in June 2017.

Refurb starts next week and is expected to last 12-18 months. It was delayed. The test rooms are live, now, however.

Thanks for the information...did not realize that. I did notice when I booked it said queen beds, remembered it being double beds last time we were there May 2012. Which made me think the renovation may be over by June. Not sure I'll change though. Will only be there a few days as a pre-cruise trip.

CSR has been queen beds for a while. The refurb isn't a switch to queens. The refurb is pretty substantial in terms of carpet, bathroom, desk area, etc. They're closing a building at a time to do the work.

Buzz's Facebook group has good pix of the new rooms.

Thanks, and for the link as well. I couldn't remember exactly if they were queen beds before or not, probably got them mixed up with one of the other trips at POFQ. It really was a good deal though for the price, was only a few dollars more than the value resorts.
