Why no Magic Bands for DCL?

This. If they gave me a Magic Band for the ship I'd give it back and tell them it's a KTTW card for me. Last thing I want to do is walk around a port wearing a bright yellow indicator that I'm a Disney cruiser.

When we were in Nassau DCL CMs gave us Disney stickers and instructed us to wear them on our shirts to so that we could be ID'd as a Disney cruiser. Being a first time cruiser, we did as we were told and also because I've done land tour groups before where I've had to wear identifying stickers, so I thought it was the norm. After a while, it didn't seem to make a whole lot of sense. It wasn't like there were DCL CMs or reps coming with us. We were doing water based excursion, so the stickers fell right off anyway. Why the heck did they even do that?

I haven't the slightest idea. I'd tell them to keep their stickers, or I'd just take it, put it in my wallet and add it to my massive sticker collection when I got home.

Doesn't every brand want their name and logo spread about for free advertising?
Why give away dcl branded bags to CC members, and not just a park brand bag?

Is there a stigma attached to being a Disney cruiser or perceived easy target to get scammed?

Not aimed at you Phinz, but do people wear their CC lanyards when off the ship or immediately remove them? Do you wear your dcl tee shirts and ball caps when in port or save them for when you are at home?
Royal are using a similar system with the WOW bands on their quantum class ships and it seems to work for them? Do royal also issue their equivalent to the KTTW card for port access?

I would say yes. If I was a thief I would assume passengers from dcl would be good targets. Soft targets.

Ha! Funny you should say that because the CM that told us to wear the stickers jokingly sold the idea as, "so people can look at you and think, 'oooh, they're with Disney, they must be rich!'"
