There are life guards at the pools at both resorts. Vero has a guarded beach at Wabasso a short beachwalk away - maybe 1/2 mile, in season.

HH has town life guards on the beach in season.

The resorts do not provide guards on the beaches.

There are several public beaches in Vero - all of which have life guards. The Disney resort is on a private beach, so no life guards. I believe all of HH has public life guards.

I doubt a private beach could afford the insurance to guard the beach.

But PP is correct - there's a public beach right next to the Disney resort (in front of Orchid Island Pizza) and it is guarded.

Oh - and guarded beaches in Vero don't allow umbrellas unless they are WAAAAAY back :-(

This made me giggle. It would stink if you went RIGHT...walked 1/2 mile to find those lifeguards.....and there were none. I like the way you wrote "left or right as you are facing the ocean".
