Why NO dinner availability at any TS at DHS on 12/07/2009?

I have tried online, IPO, and calling to no avail. I was on it at my 90+ mark and I can find nothing at all open for us at DHS on 12/07/2009 for dinner. I know that there is Free Dining, but geez Louise, this is ridiculous. Could there be some sort of error in their system? I mean really, no Fantasmic and no dinner anywhere other than CS that night already?

Has anyone here been able to book a meal past 4pm at DHS on 12/07/2009?

That's during Pop Warner week. I know they do something special at DHS during the week they are there. Maybe that's the night.

It's also the week they film the Christmas parade I think. I know that takes place in MK but prolly still busy everywhere!!

They close DHS early one night during Pop Warner week for the PW kids to run amok. That is probably the night. You'll have to go elsewhere that night.

On both 12/7 and 12/9 DHS closes early at 7pm. People are speculating that the park is closing early those days because PopWarner will be there. If that is correct - then I can see why you are having a hard time with that night. Most of the parents of these peewees probably grabbed them up.

The 7th is a Mon. and the parade at MK is done on Fri., Sat., and Sun. for re-dos. Pop Warner arrives on Sat. the 5th and runs to the following weekend. They usually have their party on Wed. which should be the 9th. I'm not sure what's going on the 7th, doesn't make any sense to me. In the past its always closed at 8:00, 7:00 is a bit early. I wonder if they set it up that way incase they want to change the day of the Pop Warner party. I'd rather it be on the 9th, I go home that day and would like to see DHS stay open later on the 7th.

I was at Studios one night last week when it closed at 7. That must be the new early closing time.

I tried for the 5th and couldn't get anything for supper at either 50's or Sci Fi (I ended up taking 50's for lunch). I did get Le Cellier, Crystal Palace, Biergarten, Tutto, and Teppan Edo all for suppers in the days surrounding the 5th with no problem. Thought it was a bit strange.

That definitely is Pop Warner time. My SIL's family is going. She doesn't have their whole schedule yet, but I know an "exclusive" night at DHS was one of the things.

If you are having a problem and the park closes early anyway, why not take the boat to Beach Club and eat at Cape May, or they Yacht Club and eat at Capts. Grille after DHS closes...like maybe a 7:30 ADR. Thats what I am considering and I already have an ADR for 50s PT tht I might cancel. Thought this won't help you because its not on the 5th or the 7th or the 9th...whatever day you said.... I think it's the 6th. Good luck. I think a boat ride after closing to a quieter meal somewhere else sounds absolutely great. Plus you won't lose any Open park time while eating. Unless of course you were looking for lunch.

Over all, very few parents attend Pop Warner tourneys.

I had the same problem. We wanted to eat at SciFi that evening and got a 4:15 reservation. I don't mind that it closes early as long as we see the Osborne lights. I have been looking to move the reservation later but Idon't think I will be able to.

Are they sure their team is going? I thought they didn't have playoffs until the weekend before to decide which teams are going.

Yes, they are sure their team is going...cheerleading, not football if that makes a difference

I was able to get an ADR for 12/7 at 4:15 at H&V. Granted the only reason I was able to get it probably was the fact I was up at 3am on my 90 day mark! I was up anyway with my 2 week old so I thought I'd try and get the reservation early. Now I'm glad that I did!

I too thought the PopWarner night was on Wed the 9th! Let's cross our fingers that it doesn't change!
