WHY is my points balance wrong online??

I was wondering if anyone has an idea as to why my points balance could be wrong on dvcmember website? I wanted to ask here before i bothered to call MS. here is what happened. Last week I changed a saratoga springs vacation from a 1 bedroom (182 pnts) to a 2 bedroom (243 pnts). the MS women told me i would have to borrow 40 points from the 2008 use year. this should have shown a balance of 2007- O points, and 2008- 110 points. BUT instead it shows this - 2007- 61 points, and 2008- 110 points. Obviously its not horrible, somehow i have 61 extra points lol, but i dont want it to mess anything up. Also notice the 61 is the exact difference between the 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom. ANY ideas lol???? thanks

I would call. It almost seems like MS completed the borrowing from 2008, but did not change you from a 1 BR to a 2BR. Is the reservation correct on the website?

My point balance is also off on-line, by 1 year. Instead of showing my correct number of points for '07, they show in '08. I called MS and they show the correct number of points in the correct year and said that there are some glitches on the DVC.com site. You may want to call MS just to make sure that their accounting is correct.

The online glitch was only affecting those that added AKV. I wonder if the problem has expanded?

That's why mine is off, due to the AKV purchase. If you look at the individual contracts by year, each is okay. But the summary by year of all the contracts together makes no sense.

The fact that your 2007 UY is showing exactly the number of points needed to change the reservation from a 1BR to a 2BR is suspicious. I would call MS and get it sorted out.

The "Point Summary" display is combining points from different UYs. The section of the display that is labeled as your "2007 UY" is actually the 2006 UY points for all resorts other than AKV combined with the 2007 AKV points. The section labeled "2008" is actually the 2007 UY points for everything other than AKV combined with the 2008 UY points for AKV, and so on. It only affects owners still in the 2006 UY.

The bug is due to AKV not having a 2006 UY. Once your 2007 UY begins, it should self correct. The good news is, it's just a display error, not a data error.

We added at AKV, so hopefully the problem hasn't expanded.

Mine are a mess too and I'm not an AKV buyer. I've been on the phone with MS most of the day and they assure me that there is a computer glitch and it should be straightened out by next week. We'll see.
