Why is LTT going characterless

I think that if Disney can't fill up the restaurant without the characters then they'd begin considering either improving the menu or bringing back the characters.

Actually not going will do a better job of 'talking' to Disney than emails and petitions. Not that those things are bad, they aren't. Disney just seems to listen better when you speak with your money.

The main reason we did LTT this time was the characters. It was the first time I'd been there.

I hope this is a sign Disney is starting to realize that adults go to WDW too, and not all of 'em are encumbered with children. Still, I'm surprised that LTT with its fambulee-friendly Stouffers menu would get the axe because it was so popular with those types of WDW guests. Like others have said, maybe the menu will get better at dinner now.

Now, if we can just get Akershus back as a normal buffet restaurant instead of messing around with all that princess nonsense...

My family won't be going back to LTT without the characters either. We loved LTT for the character interaction on our first trip with the kids in '07 we were thinking about going twice next year. No problem now.. without the characters I think this food is REALLY over-priced even if my kids will eat it. So you won't see us there year.

There's no way I'd pay those prices for LTT without characters. The food is okay, but not good enough to pay $30 for, especially not good enough to pay $15 for my DD 6 who eats next to nothing. Before we paid it because I felt we were paying fot the characters. I don't think we'll return for dinner without characters and with the menu as it is, fixed-price family style. If they change the dinner menu to be more along the lines of the lunch menu then we might go back.
