they seem to throw in some sort of drama going on in their life with the "I'm done"....is that to try and make posters who haven't agreed with them feel bad?:confused3

What did I miss? Or more precisely, which one did I miss? popcorn::

There have been times I've said that I'm done with a thread, and my reason for it is basically to say that I've debated the topic the best I can... but I won't be back so don't think I'm ignoring you if you ask me anything else.

Other times it's my way of throwing my hands up in the air and just saying forget it.

nothing in particular...just one I was happened to be reading, nothing overly dramatic.

Every topic comes to an end. Once someone has said everything that can be said about it, what is the point of continuing?

You mean like "I don't need this. My husband is leaving me and my kids are flunking school. I have enough problems than to argue with you all." :rotfl:

It could be one of 1000's:lmao:

Yes, but there's always a juicy latest. :teeth:

Like I didn't know the shopping cart thread would be so controversial until it kept getting mentioned in other threads. Then I knew to go back & read it. :surfweb:

Oh, yes, when people storm off in a huff with a dramatic proclamation! Sometimes I can see where they're coming from -- it's no fun being flamed -- or having your bubble burst when you think you're SOOOO right. :)

What happened to that thread, did it get zapped or am I missing it?

I'm waiting for the thread: "I'm dying of swine flu. I'm going to WDW anyway because I don't want to lose our non-refundable $900 deposit on the plane fare & resort. It will be my last chance to be with my family. I don't know why everyone here is being so mean & judgemental to me , saying I should disclose the diagnosis to the airlines and shouldn't be in such close proximity to people on a full, enclosed plane, and standing in the Disney lines for the rides. It will be the last memories my family will ever have of me. <cough!> <cough!> <sneeze> I thought you'd all be understanding and wish me a fond farewell." :wave2:

Come on, you know there's going to be one... popcorn::

Exactly...I have been in many spirited discussions and once I have said the same thing for the third or forth time, I feel that there is no sense in continuing. It isn't even because someone doesn't agree with my statements, it is more because they don't understand my statements and head them off in other completely different directions and meanings. Then I will just say, OK, I'm through. I'm not leaving the boards, just that particular thread because I am either (1) bored with it or (2) am tired of explaining what to me is obvious, over and over again.

It's a way of getting the last word in.;)

BULL! Oh, I'm sorry was that the last word?:rotfl:

LOL!!!

There were two store threads in the last 24 hours. Thought it was one of those. :)

It's one thing to say you're done because you've said all you can. It's another to say, "I have such and such drama in my life so I don't need this stress" particularly when the thread is not that controversial. (I saw the thread that caused the OP to start this one). It's like they're trying to get bonus points for having life drama.

Just found this on another forum:
