Why if there is no EE

I also feel safer staying on property than in Kissimmee, rt 192, or I-4... that is well worth the extra money in my book!

We just like that MAGIC. That being said, this past vacaation I tried to save a few bucks on "night one" afterall I'd just be sleeping. NEVER again. I saved a whopping $20.00, but the agrivation factor was enough to kill me. First I paid in cash, so I had to leave a credit card or $100.00 cash deposit or have the phone turned off. (I opted for the phone, since I had the cellular and really didn't want to wait for my $100.00 back in the morning.) If I had just stayed at the AS I could have had a great character breakfast, hit a park, had my luggage sent over to WLV and then check in at afternoon break time. I also would have had a shower that morning because I would not have been afraid of what was growing in it. I don't care if my flight arrives at midnight next time I will stay on property. In terms of saving a few dollars it really doesn't add up when you look at the chance you take on accomadations, the long treck back if you want to take a break and carting so much with you in case you might need it. Oh yeah, and when I'm on vacation I want to have a Disney Day! and a Disney afternoon and a Disney Night and.....

I have to agree that I would never consider staying offsite at WDW. I guess our biggest reason for staying onsite is convenience. With everything to do and see, it is the convenience's of getting there, so many ways to get to your destination at WDW. Although we have made one decision of staying at an Universal hotel the days we visit there. And again only a/c convenience. I guess I consider my time worth something.

I can see both sides to EE. While we used to take advantage of it especially when our daughter was young. It was nice to take breaks and return to the hotel to cool off for awhile and return to the parks. The daughter now has more energy than us, except this past May was extremely hot, we still took some breaks. You have to learn to adjust. I can say that another reason we liked EE was if we chose to use it or not, we could still plan off of it. We would know what days are going to be busy and adjust this to our schedule. If we knew that that day was the MK, we could avoid that park completely. This is kind of one reason I wish they still had EE, we could plan alot easier. If people liked it, let them go, if you didn't like the crowds, don't go to that park because you know it would be busier. Actually we would leave that park and go to another one. But it was the planning we used it more than any other reason.

Even though EE is gone, I stay on Disney property for convience.
Like being able to have souviners delivered to my resort so I don't have to carry them through the parks all day!
