Why EVERYONE should book a DCL!

On 10 DCL cruises we have only encountered dining room lines on the first night as people don't seem to realize (or they are very hungry!!!) that you have assigned seats and no need to stand in the line in the first place. After the first night we never found a line in the restaurants.

Of course, if you get to your dining room too early you will have to wait until they open the doors and then others see you waiting so they join the line (because we all know we are sheep...we like to follow what someone else is doing!!).

The photo lines are unavoidable.....I do not see how DCL can handle those any differently. Yes there are lines for photos with characters but they are efficiently run and go pretty fast. they look worst than they are. You obviously would not have these same lines on other ship because on other ships you do not have the Disney Characters!!! I am sure the buffet lines on some of those Mega ships must be long as well with so many people on board.

As far as pool chairs....we have always been able to get chairs up on Deck 10. At first I would always be mad at the chair hogs by the pool and then I said...why let it bother me that they are jerks...I will just enjoy my vacation and find peace on Deck 10 and soak up the sun!!!

That's what we do when we can't find chairs on deck 9. It's quite peaceful up there!

ksjayhawks, you had Roland from the Phillipines too? I'm so glad to hear he's still there! (Or, hopefully when we sail in May!) Wasn't he great?:D

Happy to hear positive replies!! We are soo excited for our Western Magic Cruise! I agree with what most of you have said..if you are busy having fun & appreciating your vacation, there won't be time wasted looking for problems which can occur anywhere! I believe it's how you deal things that may come up! Enjoy your vacations!!! Cathie & The Gang :wave2:

I like that Deck 10 tip, we usually end up there on busy sea days.

Don't get me wrong guys, we had a great trip. Great company, great staff out at the pools, great excursions on the islands and I loved the ship itself. We travel often and do not compare this to that, I just wanted to say that after spending so much time on the boards prior to the cruise, I expected more than we got for the money. it was nice. That was about it. We've done all-inclusives (big and small), many other cruises (big and small - not the mega ships, not our style), traveled on our own throughout europe, US, S. America, etc. and have stayed in wonderful as well as dumpy locations. We are not fussy and love the experience of travel. It just seemed that this cruise was no better - no worse than any other we have been on. They are all so similar and after reading the disboards, expected more. Like I said, we are very well traveled and have had so many circumstances put before us, that we really know how to go with the flow. I don't want to be bashed or judged, just wanted to put my two cents worth in that it wasn't truly magical.
Just fine. I think it funny that so many posters have only cruised on DCL and are afraid to try anything else. I would just like to tell them not to be afraid to expand their horizons. There are MANY great cruises out there.

Didn't want to hurt anyones disfeelings, just thought I'd be able to post an honest opinion.
