Why don't we make this trip report about 2012 & 2013.

Chiara update: I just recieved a text from her, the baby is fine and healthy, but she has not been feeling well since the delivery. She is asking for continued prayers. <3

Chiara,

princess: Congratulations to you and G on the birth of Baby O. (If you've told the name, I forget, sorry.)

Many of us on dis are thinking of you and praying for you as you go through the many changes a new baby brings. It's not as though the rest of your life pauses so you can give full attention to your postpartum care and enjoying every move the new one makes.

My hope for you is that there are people in your life who can help ease your transition from 'pregnant' to 'new mom' and that they help more than hinder.

Take care of yourself, let others take care of you, and SLEEP when you can!

:flower3: Cheryl

CONGRATS on your new baby. Sending thoughts and prayers that everyone is healthy. Going from 2 to 3 is hard but it gets easier! I swear!!!

Amanda

:yay: :yay: :yay:

Thanks for updating. While I'm sure you have many more pressing things to attend to, glad to hear you're home and that Samantha is doing well.

:earsgirl: Now back to planning what she'll wear in August.

Welcome home Chiara! Glad to see you back. Take your time on her birth story - but looking forward to reading about it just the same. (((Hugs))) to all of you. ;)

Congratulations!!!!

Sorry to hear about the drama but glad to hear you're both home now.

6/5 is a great birthday! My good friend of 40+ years who now lives in FL has that bday (which is the inverse of mine 5/6). Also the bdays of both my great niece and great nephew (7 years later) who live close to D.

Congratulations on your new princess:

Hopefully you are now drama free and all is as it should be:)

Not quite but hoping to be soon.

Here is a bit of what went on last Wednesday:

This is not my birth story but a short update on me. On Wednesday June 5th I went for my twice weekly OB appoointment. My BP was 150/90, my swelling was the same as it had been but the dr had the results of my 24 hour urine test I had done on Monday my previous number was 15 this time it was 500. According to the office sonogram the baby was 9lbs 4oz up a half pound from Friday. He sent me to LD for monitoring of my bp and if it was ok I could go home.

Well I went to LD was hooked up for an NST which showed contractions not regular but still, Mjy bp was slightly elevated but nothing earthshattering. After being there 20 minutes the nurse came in and said I had to call the OB since it looked like I would be having the baby that night. Called the OB and he had spoken to the Peri and they both thought it best to take the baby considering how big she was measuring and I was 37.5weeks. i had been hoping to make a bit longer but the odds were the BP would keep climbing as would the swelling. I called G and we had to find a babysitter for the kids and such.

G was able to get to the hospital by 7pm to keep me company. I texted D since her's was the only number I had in my phone. I was supposed to also have a tubal during my c-section because G and I had decided with how rough this pregnancy had been we should count our blessings.
Well I was prepped and ready to go at 10:30 we went back and the dr opened me up and the first words were we will not be doing the tubal. The next order of business was getting Sam out and that went fine. All I remember was them saying is how big she was.
At this point I don't remember a lot because I had been naseous and started vomitting which would last for the next 24 hours UGH.
They took a couple of pictures of G and me with the baby and G went to nursery with Sam while she was measured and weighed. He came back in about 45 minutes and they were still working on me. My reproduction system was riddled with scar tissue and was compressed togehter. It took the drs over 2 hours to get it cleaned up. G said it was really bad.
I am still dealing with some elevated BP, swelling and numbness from carpel tunnel. I go to the dr for a BP check today.

So now back to Disney planning for August, here is a list of a few things to do.

1. Schedule Magical Express
2. Get Sam added to flight
3. See if I can get a BWV room
4. Get outfits planned
5. Schedule OWners Locker.
6. Garden Grocer Order.

Oh Chiara - I can't even imagine how hard that must have been for all of you... And to be so sick like that after a C-section... I just can't imagine. (((Hugs)))

I hope you are starting to feel better and little Sam is giving you pleanty of time to rest. I wish there was something I could do to help... I'd love to fly out and just hold her for a few hours. ;)

Glad to hear you are working on some trip planning... <3

I'm so glad you're doing better now. Pre eclampsia is a scary thing. I had it with a couple of my children and its never an easy thing. Hug that little one close and get some rest home with your beautiful family. Keep your work list small, it will all be there when you feel better. Have a great evening! Ruth

Glad to hear you are doing better. And as D said, I hope the princess is giving you some time to rest. How is J doing as a big brother? I saw the picture of c holding the baby - so cute!

Thank you everyone.

Congratulations again on the birth of Samantha. I can not imagine how you must have been feeling during the birth of your daughter but I am so glad that she is here. I am happy to hear that you are home and I hope you are able to get some rest so you can be on your way to a quick recovery.

Why am I not surprised that you are already updating us with details on your August trip? :goodvibes You are a wonder woman!!!! Or that could be you are a wonder, woman. Again - congrats on the newest addition to your family. Looking forward to hearing about your August trip.

I can't sleep, so decided to jump on to see if there was an update...so glad to find one! I'm glad you're home, but sorry to hear about the problems you had. What an ordeal. But at least you have a beautiful baby to show for all the yuck! I love the name. Our second daughter is Emily Dawn.

I can't believe you're already planning the outfits for Samantha! Well, I guess I can. You seem to be amazing at multi-tasking. Don't overdo. Hope the other kiddos adjust well and you can get some sleep. I think that's about the hardest thing. The constantly interrupted sleep. Congratulations to your entire family!!!

Just stopping by to see how you are doing... (((Hugs)))

D~

Had my BP checked yesterday and it was in normal limits. I am feeling about 75% like my pre pregnancy self which I think is pretty good.

We are adjusting. The nighttime feedings aren't too bad she gets up generally around 1 and 4 but it will adjust once we get a better schedule I think.

We are heading to Target in a bit for some baby supplies and I must start loading up my Disney box for shipping.

Yay... So happy you are starting to feel more like yourself.

So, tell me - what kind of things do you put in your shipping box, and how close to your trip do you ship it? I am contimplating shipping a small box this time around...

D~

I put toiletries, coffee cups since we have a Keurig in our owners locker diapers pull ups. I generally ship 1 week out with ups.
