Why don't we make this trip report about 2012 & 2013.

Welcome Terry, have fun with the new machine.

So how about a baby update, I scheduled a date for my Csection it is June 20th but I probably won't make it. I am having massive amounts of swelling and my BP is super high for me. My normal bp is 100/72 and a good day for me now is 150/84. I am doing a 24 hour urine catch to see if I have Preeclampsia.

The baby is measuring ahead at 38w 3d and 7lbs 10oz. I am actually 35w 5 days so almost done with my 36th week.

I go back to the OB tomorrow, I think for fetal monitoring and bp check.

In addition to my baby drama, we are having some issues with J that have me upset. J has been biting at school, mouthing things and sucking on his shirt. My pediatrician is out until Tuesday so I am trying a few things like putting him back on his sensory diet. It is just hard when they can't communicate what is wrong.

I still have to finish the baby's room and figure out a coming home outfit.

June 20 is my youngest dd's bd. I hope it's not preeclampsia though. It's got to be tough with J, especially when he can't tell you what the problem might be. Hang in there, girl, we're praying for you.

Yikes... That is a high blood pressure for you... Do you think they will schedule your Csection earlier?

I am sorry about J having issues at school... Is he only doing this at school, or is he doing it at home too? It seems that something is bothering him, but I can't imagine how hard it must be for him not to be able to communicate what is going on.

If it is PreE they will most likely try to get me to 37weeks and then schedule. I think it depends on my urine test.

Rest. Keep your feet up. All those things that are practically impossible to do when you have a life. Praying

Nimi

Thanks everyone. I spent part of yesterday in L & D being monitored for swelling and bp issues. When I got to the office yesterday my BP was 145/86 which was up from Wednesdays visit. Also my swelling was pretty bad for first thing in the AM.

With the holiday weekend the doctor wanted to be on the safe side. All my labs came back fine except for a low platelet count that they will watch. Oh and I didn't get the results of my 24hour urine test but will have that on tuesday when I go to the office.

The good thing about going to L & D I was able to see the hospital as we had just decided to change the hospital so I could have 2 full attendings and not an attending and residents. Also this is a smaller hospital which is nice. While I was there yesterday I had 2 nurses and a MW assigned to me.

Today I am going to try and finish a few things,

1. Stitch T-shirt
2. Mickey T-shirt
3. Dr. Who Dress
4. Sling

I also want to work a bit in the Babies Room and put things away and hang the curtains it will all depend on swelling and the carpal tunnel symptoms though.

I also need to figure out the problem with my laptop since it wasn't letting me connect to the internet the other day.

I am glad you got to see the new hospital, hopefully it put your mind at ease a little bit.

Take it easy... I suppose the above list is "taking it easy" for you... but still - try to rest a little too. :flower3:

D~

I hope your BP is better and everything is going well. I have been thinking about you and hope all is well. Please take it easy and let us know how things are going.

Hugs to J. Hopefully an extra day off will be just what he needs.

Rest.

Rest.

And then when you are finished...rest!

My daughter was in the same boat as you seem to be traveling in ... She kept insisting that if she wasn't tired she was rested enough. "These things HAVE to be done" Well, you know where that got her. The nursery still isn't 'done' but Miss Amelia has not slept in there yet...so it doesn't matter...and even if she had, she is not looking at what pictures are on the wall...she is SLEEPING!

She is now having to take the anti seizure meds and she said they make her tired all the time. (only one more week of them)

In my best mommy voice: There is nothing that you have to do that is more important than resting!

So...go REST!

Nini

Thanks Nini

I am doing lots of resting I think part of the problem is my not really being able to sleep at night. I sleep in about one hour bursts and then I get horrible carpel tunnel numbness.

I try to get anything done in 5 minute bursts. I think today I am just going to be sitting because one arm is in pain and almost totally numb.

I thankfully am not seeing any spots and no blurred vision but my BP here at home is still elevated. thankfully my swelling is down some.

I agree with Nini... Resting should be your only task these days - as hard as it is.

I'm sure you are resting today based on all the advice you have been getting. ;)

I'm sorry you are not sleeping well at night. Please be sure to get to the hospital if you have any question or are feeling off.

Hopefully you can get some sleep and rest up because I know you won't get much rest once the baby arrives.

Finally home and caught up with you! Wow! You've been getting a lot done and had a lot of challenges with your bp and swelling and maybe preE. Hope you are feeling better and are able to rest.

I love all the outfits you posted and especially the little outfit for your new baby. Love the blanket too. You do have a way with matching fabric in such a wonderful way.

I don't have a special needs child, but I do get how special those small moments are. I have a friend with a special needs and each new interaction is a huge victory worthy of celebration. I'm so glad you had one on Mother's day! Also, I hope the behavior at school improves. It must be so very hard. You question if you're doing enough or doing things right. As parents, we are constantly evolving and discovering what works and what doesn't. We get it right sometimes and wrong other times. But we always try our very best to give our children what they need. That's all we can do. You seem like a terrific mom with lots of love and patience to go around. Don't doubt yourself. If he could, J would no doubt tell you that you're the best.

You'll continue to be in my prayers for a safe delivery and the chance to rest and enjoy your family.

I really am doing a lot of resting, I seriously have no energy.

I thankfully do not have Pre-e . I do monitor my BP every day. J seems to be fine when he is at home so it is hard to figure what is going on.

So I am trying to plan our outfits for August but am kind of holding off until the baby gets here. I also check every day for an opening at boardwalk or beach club for August.

I am going to be purchasing our Mnsshp tickets this week.

I need to post a couple of new pictures this week.

Chiara just texted me and asked me to let you all know that she is having her baby tonight, her C section is scheduled for 9:30pm Eastern time.

I don't know any details other than that, but I do believe that prayers for both her and the baby would be coveted. :grouphug:

D~

Prayers and best wishes to you and the whole family! Can't wait to "meet" the newest addition!

I hope all goes well for her and the baby! Such an exciting time for her!
